The Role & Key Responsibilities

In this role you will support the company's Health and Safety and Environmental systems.

• Ensure that the health and safety and environmental management systems are fit for purpose and reflect the way the business is conducted, including compliance with relevant legislation, regulation, standards, licences and certificates.
• Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the organisation including the management of internal audits at all sites, implementing changes/updates as required.
• Ensure employees and contractors are aware of any changes to the system.
• Plan and complete audits in accordance with audit programmes.
• Produce reports for all audits as required.
• Liaison with other support functions, and external agencies and enforcing authorities
• Monitor progress on corrective action issues.
• Identify examples of good practice that can be extended across the group.
• Undertake Health & Safety inductions, and investigations where needed.
• Ensure company HS & E policies and procedures always meet the required legislation.
• Support the management of the incident reporting system, conduct accident investigations, and produce monthly and yearly incident/accident reports.

The Wales Fertility Institute (WFI) Clinical Service Manager will be a dynamic, experienced leader with the energy and drive to support our forward thinking and talented Fertility team in the evolution of the service and to shape our long term strategic plans.

WFI is an NHS facility managed by Swansea Bay University Health Board and split over two sites (WFI Neath Port Talbot (Neath Port Talbot Hospital) and WFI Cardiff (University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff)

The service provides both NHS and fee-paying services supporting those facing fertility problems. The clinical team includes consultants, embryologists, nurses, laboratory, counselling and administration staff offering a range of assisted reproduction treatments

Applications are invited for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated registered health care profession looking to develop their leadership skills across a multi-disciplinary department to support the development of Fertility services within Wales .

This role will have day-to-day responsibility for the management of the Welsh Fertility Institute (WFI) . The post holder will provide a highly visible and authoritative presence ensuring the needs of patients are placed at the centre of care.

The post holder is accountable for the effective management of all resources needed to deliver a comprehensive WFI service including achieving performance targets and longer term service developments. This post holder will have accountability for ensuring delivery of the service meets the organisational and commissioner requirements as well as all regulatory requirements

This senior post heads the WFI Service and ensures that the service provides a high quality and innovative practice to all its users and clients. The post holder will be a core member of the WFI management team. The post requires in-depth knowledge and skills within the field of Fertility. All activities are carried out within a quality system framework.
