Can you see yourself joining a growing procurement team as Category Manager, supporting several upcoming exciting projects? We are currently seeking a Category Manager to join our healthcare team! Our corporate Procurement services encompass framework agreements, consultancy, and a complete procurement function all delivered by skilled teams through efficient and effective technology platforms. Youll lead a delegated category portfolio to implement strategic sourcing and strong partner management, lower costs to deliver savings targets, and strengthen existing relationships with key suppliers. Youll enjoy a challenge developing specific strategic sourcing programmes/ strategies across our client base and will be responsible for the delivery of a number of projects within key markets. This position is predominantly home based, with onsite meetings being held once per month. However, there could be additional travel to supplier and client sites when required. What you will be doing: Providing a procurement support function for clients and handling tender activity appropriate to category through to contract award Taking an active role in developing the annual work plan and implementing policy, contributing to short and long-term category strategies Reviewing, negotiating, re-negotiating and drafting contracts for cost optimisation and savings targets Taking the lead across a complex high value project portfolio, building knowledge and expertise Developing and improving key supplier relationships and explore new business opportunities Working with clients to develop constructive relationships with operational contract managers, providing support to make sure effective delivery of outcomes Providing regular reports including performance against KPIs and SLAs What youll bring: CIPS level 3 qualified (or working towards.) Knowledge of PCR 2015, EU/UK regulations and company policies Experience of working in procurement, commissioning, bid writing or contract management team within the NHS/ Healthcare Sector/ Public Sector Knowledge and skill in procurement process, (scoping, briefing, tendering, selection, contract negotiation, including service level agreements, and management of supplier) Implement change and improvements and supports and enables staff to deliver, improve expertise and build procurement capability Market and product knowledge in some commodities It would be great if you had: Working experience gained within the health sector and understanding of health contracts Knowledge of EU/UK Procurement Policies, Procedures and Processes Knowledge of Procurement ERP systems, eSourcing tools and MS Office If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what were looking for, please do apply, wed love to hear from you!
