To become an accredited Medicines Management Technician, or complete reaccreditation to transfer skills where appropriate. To become accredited to assess PODs according to the Trusts criteria. To implement and maintain the POD scheme according to Trust policies. To train nursing, medical and pharmacy staff regarding the POD scheme. We are looking for exceptional Band 4 Registered Nurse Associates to join the friendly Day Case team at the Horton Hospital in Banbury.

The role would include working alongside a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality, patient centred care to a wide range of patients that come in for surgical procedures and infusions for IBD conditions. The successful candidate would need to be motivated, organised and possess outstanding communication skills. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.

We are a nurse-led unit and work closely with the theatre teams and other Specialist Nurses. There are opportunities for extra training and progression. If you are forward thinking and looking for a new challenge, then this could be the job for you.

The unit is rapidly expanding, caring for patients undergoing a variety of Day Case surgical procedures for a variety of specialities. These patients need to be admitted on the morning of surgery and then recovered and discharged post-operatively. We also have ambulatory patients requiring infusions for Irritable Bowel Disorders, blood transfusions and other interventions suitable for daily admissions.

Our client is a specialist nursing home supporting adults with physical disability and/or long-term neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, brain injury, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, speech impairment, spina bifida, hydrocephalus or stroke.

The opportunity

You will be the face of Nuffield Health and sensitive to our customer's needs. As an Administrator - Radiology, you will:

• Use your empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships.

• Put people at ease when they visit your department.

• Answer the phone, dealing with enquiries and booking appointments.

• Welcome patients, in person, and directing them to the appropriate waiting rooms.

• Crucially, you will also help the department run smoothly by preparing clinical paperwork and referral forms.

The Person

To succeed as an Administrator - Radiology, you will have:

• Great communication skills.

• The ability to explain sensitive or complicated information in a clear, sympathetic and easily understood way.

• Ideally, you will have experience of working within Healthcare administration or a relevant reception environment.

• Good IT and keyboard skills.
