An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to be a Team Manager in the 24/7 All age Crisis Helpline. The team is looking for a professionally qualified Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or suitably qualified Psychologist who is committed to promoting recovery and multi professional team working.
You will be required to manage a multidisciplinary team of professionally qualified Mental Health Practitioners to work therapeutically with a client group of people who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Working within a philosophy of recovery, to achieve potential and independence and maintain positive well being in a short period of time.
The role will involve providing clinical and managerial supervision to the team to oversee assessment, interventions, triggering and supporting safeguarding, skills development and other psychosocial interventions, including carer support, family intervention and education.
You will be expected to demonstrate leadership skills to develop the service and work with all stakeholders to reach outcomes and strategic targets. On appointment, you will be a member of an integrated team and will receive professional, clinical supervision and have access to a range of training and development opportunities.
Undertake overall responsibility for the management of the 24/7 All age Crisis Helpline.
Manage the workload of the Crisis Helpline, ensuring that appropriate systems are in place for:
• Assessment via the telephone and associated units and community settings.
• Allocation, transfer and discharge/closure of case responsibility Ensure transition in and out of the team is safely managed
• Development of robust Care Planning to ensure User, Carer and staff are adequately supported
- Ensure that staff are compliant with relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
- Ensure that staff are compliant with Trust policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.
To develop and maintain strong working relationships with external professionals such as NWAS/GMP/CAS, and where possible avoid hospital admission or presentation to the Accident and Emergency.
Chair clinical and business meetings including Serious Incident Reviews and Vulnerable Adult strategy meetings.
To attend a range of Directorate, Trust and Local Authority meetings and play an active role in the development of local services.
Participate in Bronze on call rota as required
Act up as required.
