• To organise the caseload efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and use of time
• Promote better understanding of Diabetes for patients, their families and carers and other agencies involved with the patient through education, support and counselling.
• To delegate care of patients, as appropriate, to assistant staff and supervise their work
• Recognise and act on signs, symptoms and complications of diabetes conditions
• To manage a caseload of patients with complex Diabetes needs, using evidence based practice and patient centred goals to assess plan implement and evaluate inventions
• To deliver accredited Type 2 (DESMOND) Structured Education to newly diagnosed patients
• To attend regular team meetings and other meetings as required.

As the Mental Health Business Support Officer the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Regional Mental Health Team.

The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial, administrative and support services to the mental health team PMO / business office. The post holder will need to display a considerable degree of initiative, apply a high degree of confidentiality, possess mature judgement and embody the values of NHSE. They will provide high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
