Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Will work under the direct supervision of the Shop Supervisor. Most of the time, he/she works alone or with another trades person of equivalent or lower grade with only general instructions such as scope of job, job priority, sequence of work, and availability of materials provided by their supervisor.

• Reading blueprints and schematics, taking field measurements and transposing them to job needs, reading and understanding operating instructions and procedures, interpreting electrical codes and record necessary data.
• Participating in the operation and installation of a variety of complete electrical systems and equipment, such as series, parallel, and compound circuits for single and multiple phase alternating current of varying voltage, amperage, and frequency; wiring systems in industrial complexes and in buildings; and power or regulating and control circuits and distribution panels to industrial machinery, computers or laboratory and other electrical equipment in order to plan, lay out, install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of complete systems as well as any parts of these systems.
• Interpreting and applying the National Electrical Code, local codes, building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings, and to use trade formulas to calculate common properties, e.g., voltage, voltage drop and current capability in series and parallel circuits, resistance, inductance, capacitance, power factor, current flow, and temperature, and length in single and multiple raceways, conduits, gutters, and cable trays.
• Using hand tools; power tools, such as cable pullers, hydraulic benders, and pipe threading machines; and a wide variety of test equipment, for example, meggers, multi-meters, frequency meters, watt meters, power factor meters, vibro-grounds, phase rotation meters, audio tone location equipment, high potential testers, ground fault interrupter testing. equipment, recording amp meters, circuit analyzers, circuit breaker testers, resistance bridges, and cathodic protection test sets.
• Using electronics to recognize parts, such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors; operate basic test equipment such as signal generators, signal tracers, and read schematics of uncomplicated assemblies to determine locations of defective parts.

• Maintaining necessary logs, as built drawings and records for each unit, noting date when work was performed, parts installed or replaced, hours worked and all other assigned duties.

This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VA Medical Center, in the Nutrition and Food Service (N&FS) department. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, produce, direct, coordinate and monitor all phases of food production. In the absence of the Food Service Section Supervisor, the employee is responsible for the operation of both the Food Production/Service areas and the administrative duties within those areas.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Coordinates/directs the operation of the Food Service/Production areas using standards, procedures, diet manuals, modified menus and production sheets to guide the work.
• Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing a full range of psychodiagnostic services including psychological evaluations and diagnoses of mental disorders for patients presenting with complex mental and medical problems in Acute Care Mental Health. Providing psychological assessments as needed to include cognitive screening and personality assessments to aid in treatment planning.
• Completing Suicide Risk Identification to include CSREs, Safety Plans, and consultation with Suicide Prevention Team as needed.
• Providing evidence-based psychological services including individual, family, couples, or group psychotherapy and behavioral modification for addressing behavioral and psychological symptoms. Providing screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of the full range of psychiatric disorders and co-morbid conditions, with an emphasis on the application of evidence-based approaches.
• Performing capacity evaluations when there are questions about a patient's ability to make medical decisions, perform other specific functions, or live independently.
• Providing education to patients, family members, and significant others related to psychological and emotional conditions.
