Duties

1. As the Fitness Center Technical Advisor, plans, develops, organizes, manages, and oversees a diverse and comprehensive physical fitness and sports programs which include group exercise classes, self-directed fitness and sports programs, mcent1ve programs, special events, intramural, extramural, and varsity sports, and instructional programs
2. Develops, implements, monitors, and documents a comprehensive training program to ensure all staff members possess the necessary skills and knowledge for their position
3. Prepares APF and NAF budgets, which include the expenditures required to conduct the fitness and sports programs (Categories A and B) Develops, implements, monitors, and documents a comprehensive training program to ensure all staff members possess the necessary skills and knowledge for their position
4. Determines adequacy of facilities, identifies additional needs and recommends facility construction/alterations and renovation projects and monitors repair and maintenance of existing facilities and equipment

Performs a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of day-to-day operations of the Altus AFB Fitness Center. Serves as desk attendant ensuring only authorized patrons use the facility and equipment and adhere to Fitness Center Policy. Greets visitors, answers telephone, makes reservations for classes or use of the equipment and facilities, and provides information on scheduled events and classes. Provides assistance and basic instruction to patrons in the proper use of exercise machines and equipment. Issues sports equipment and facilities according to established standards and local fire and safety procedures. Inspects returned equipment noting damage. Inspects all equipment and facilities according to established standards and local fire and safety procedures. Reports damaged exercise equipment to supervisor. Conducts minor repairs when necessary. Conducts cleaning of machines daily as prescribed in Fitness Center checklists. Operates point of sale system; receives payment and issues change for services such as massage therapy and personal training. Prepares cashier reports and makes daily deposits to the central cashier. Performs opening and closing procedures of facilities IAW written guidelines. Assists in setting up facilities, grounds and equipment for programs and special functions. Launders towels and upholds DV towel program. Performs other duties as assigned. The Lead Purchasing Agent is responsible for issuing, reviewing and or procuring prescribed items to Veterans in compliance with VHA guidelines and directives. As a purchase card holder, fulfills acquisition requests under the federal micro-purchase threshold, ensuring purchases are procured in accordance with federal and VA regulations, policy and procedures with responsibility for work leading to the purchase of a wide variety of complex and highly specialized services, supplies, equipment, and systems.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Lead Duties - Leads three or more Purchasing Agents performing work at or below the GS-6 level; serves as first respondent to any staff concerns related to procurement or purchase orders and is expected to work independently to resolve those issues, only escalating unresolvable issues; distributes and balances the workload among employees; assures timely accomplishment of assignments; and reviews completed work for compliance; instructs Purchasing Agents in specific tasks and job techniques; and, identifies training needs and provides on the job training to new Purchasing Agents.

Primary responsibility is for patient care, supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures, patient charting and patient education, which do not require a full professional audiology education or knowledge and skills represented by audiology licensure. Support functions include both direct patient care and administrative duties.

This position functions at the full performance level for the Health Technician (Audiology) position. Under supervision of a licensed audiologist, the incumbent performs a full range of duties and is responsible for day-to-day clinical support services of staff audiologists at the assigned location. The incumbent may receive guidance from more experienced staff members and may provide guidance to less experienced staff members but requires minimal direct supervision. • Infection Preventionist (IP) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent, evidence-based infection control practices.
• The IP conducts surveillance indicators and monitoring to identify and reduce the risk of acquiring and transmitting infections among patients, employees, visitors, and students.
