Job description:
-Handle processes such as mixing plaster and building porcelain.
-Match the colours of natural teeth based on photographs and dentist prescriptions.
-Observe, receive, and obtain the necessary information from all relevant resources.
-Develop specific goals through planning, prioritising, and organising work.
-Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
-Monitor and review information from materials to detect and assess problems.
-Handle and utilise both small and large machinery and attend to the required maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
-Analyse information and evaluate results to carry out solution-oriented strategies to solve problems.
-Inspect equipment structures and materials to identify the cause of errors or defects.
-Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
-Develop, design, and create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products that may include artistic contributions.
-Identify information through categorising, estimating, recognising differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
-Keep up with the trends and knowledge and apply it to daily operations.
-Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking and chunking them into separate parts.
-Scan and reproduce models using CAD technology, Medit scanner, Meditlink clinic/lab, and Rayware software.
-Handle customisation of designed dental products using softwares CAD/CAM technology, Exocad, d3Tool, BlueSkyBio, and Meditlink.
-Read laboratory instructions from dentists.
-Examine models, impressions, and scans to determine the design of the dental products to be constructed.
-Fabricate, alter, and repair dental devices such as crowns, bridges, inlays, dentures, onlays, aligners, and retainers.
-Design and fabricate dentures, mouth guards, retainers, and aligners, among others.
-Create crowns and bridges according to the patient’s case.
-Keep, organise, and maintain dental records and other laboratory documentation.
-Polish and finish all work prior to the patient’s product trials and usage.
Qualifications/Attributes:
-At least a Diploma in Dental Technology or 3 years of relevant experience
-Must have 2 years of relevant experience.
-Ability to interact with a wide range of people.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
-Must have advanced level of aptitude for the medical sciences.
-Must have good general dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
-Willingness to learn about business management and leadership skills.
-Excellent spatial thinking and problem-solving abilities.
-Must be detail-oriented and highly organised.
-Experience with CAD/CAM technology, Medit scanner, Meditlink clinic/lab, Rayware software, Exocad, d3Tool, and BlueSkyBio is beneficial.
Salary Range: $ 70,000-80,000 p.a. before superannuation
