The post is available from February 2025 for 12 months, and you must have full GMC registration with a license to practice at time of application. Previous NHS experience is essential.
The individual will be expected to perform duties and take clinical responsibility of ST1-2.

The post would optimally suit trainees who are considering a future in Surgery and want to explore Paediatric Surgery as an area of specialisation. Ideally applicants will have completed Foundation Training and / or Core Training. The post will provide a solid basis from which to apply for an ST post.

This Post will be fixed to one clinical area over the course of the year. The successful applicant will join a 1:5 Paediatric Surgical SHO rota. They will be exposed to acute paediatric surgical on call work, routine ward duties, clinics and operating theatres. This post also involves an on-call commitment to maintain acute skills that occur at within the terms and conditions of service for NHS doctors and dentists in training (England) 2016.
