Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Purchasing Support- Purchases various equipment, supplies, and services through the use of the government purchase card for micro purchases; reviews and edits purchase requests to ensure the item or service is adequately described based on the requester's need; ensures all information has been provided and the request is consistent with legal requirements; obtains necessary product information, price information and procedures for written or verbal purchase orders.
• Procurement Support- Examines incoming requests for completeness including presence of purchase request number, accounting codes, item description estimated cost, and quantity; ensures all critical information is included in the solicitation package; prepares and issue contract modifications for changes in delivery schedule and sends formal correspondence to a variety of customers such as inventory management specialists; utilizes various web-based applications to identify required sources of supply.
• Administrative Support- Provides clerical support and coordination to approving officials and administrators. Performs a variety of receptionist, timekeeping, record keeping and miscellaneous duties in medical facility; uses departmental software to produce printouts for logistic and medical staff; establishes office files and record systems; utilizes a variety of automated systems to enter, update, revise, sort, and calculate data; monitors purchase requests; process receipts; and monitor active and delinquent invoices; develops reports and spreadsheets, obtains, organizes, files and retrieves reports for briefing and presentation purposes.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Directs the technical services and programs that support outpatient clinics in surrounding communities. These services provided are direct and have a significant impact in other organizational units' ability to provide patient support. Follows established Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines and protocols to ensure integrity, availability, authenticity and confidentiality of imaging data transmitted by the various modalities. Participates in the preparation of in-service or continuing education programs of the technical and clerical staff.

Demonstrates new techniques on all new equipment installed in the service with strict adherence to the safe operation of the equipment and safety for the patient.

Responsible for the formulation of plans and scheduled work assignments to minimize overtime costs. Analyzes work requirements and staff resources in order to accomplish assignments.

Resolves staff complaints within his/her realm of responsibility. Answers inquiries regarding patients and patient care with the area of responsibility and training.

Serves as the Service Chief/Diagnostic Radiology Manager's liaison with Engineering to ensure existing equipment is maintained at all times.

Sets performance standards for technical staff.

Responsible for orderly flow of patients through the Service.

Assists in data retrieving and compiling of data for the Quality Assurance/Improvement Program.

• Serve as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner facilitating pharmaceutical care services and direct patient care programs within assigned service(s) to ensure drug utilization activities are aligned with patient care needs and regulated standards.

Major Duties:

• Advising and assisting in planning and direction of occupational safety and health program activities. Planning and executing a continuing program of periodic inspections throughout the assigned geographical area.
• Conducting field surveys, audits, and upon special request, studies work operations and performs preliminary hazard surveys involving asbestos, noise, radiation, toxic materials, vapors, and dusts, as well as other environmental health hazards.
