We care for children who are ill or injured ranging from minor illness to major trauma. We are currently in the process of building a brand new Emergency Department that is due to open later this year. • Verify medical record completeness, accuracy and proper entry into computer systems.

We are looking for a Dentist to cover a locum assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at HMS Nelson Dental Centre, in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

This is a locum role (37 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Job Description – Service Requirements
• To work independently and to provide both a full range of dental treatment to maintain oral health and to undertake related general administrative duties where required to work towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of personnel for whom they are providing care for.
• To assist the Senior Dental Officer (SDO), when present, or operate independently to achieve dental fitness targets, for all entitled personnel, as detailed in the SG Policy and Standards Document (P&SD).
• To ensure that not less than 6.5 hours per day in 2 sessions are set aside for direct patient contact.
• To ensure that all treatment is correctly recorded on the electronic health record and any relevant FMed documents

Essential Requirements / Qualifications / Experience
• Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) without restrictions.
• Certified completion of Foundation Training in Dentistry in the UK, or have evidence of at least 12 months full-time postgraduate clinical experience derived in a primary dental care setting, or have qualified before foundation training became compulsory in the NHS.
• Must hold valid suitable and appropriate indemnity insurance with a recognised dental defence organisation.
• Must provide evidence of clinical currency in accordance with JSP 950 Leaflet 4-1-4 Returning to Clinical Practice, specifically a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.
• To have completed GDC highly recommended Continuing Professional Development (CPD) including medical emergencies, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection.
• To be trained and current in emergency and resuscitation procedures and have practised and tested these procedures at least annually in accordance with Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines and JSP 950 Leaflet 4-6-1 DMS CPR Standards and Training.

About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative within our Portsmouth Distribution Centre.

Working within a busy pharmaceutical warehouse environment you will be accurately assembling customer orders, efficiently picking customer orders for shipment and ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped on time. You will need to meet minimum productivity and quality standards and comply with policies and legal requirements in relation to the role.

The successful candidates will undertake a 12-month training course at the University of Reading. During this time, you will be trained to provide High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural therapy within a stepped care model for adults with common mental health problems, including depression and a range of anxiety disorders. You will be required to attend training at the University two days a week and working with a caseload of patients within service three days a week. Accept referrals via protocols Assess patients for suitability for CBT. Where the problems appear to be too complex/severe for trainee therapists to refer to manager/supervisor for advice & refer/signpost as directed Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service/referral protocols, & refer unsuitable patients onto the relevant service or back to the referrer Formulate/implement/evaluate therapy programmes for patients Educate/involve family members/others in treatment, conveying formulations with sensitivity in easily understood language Adhere to agreed activity contract relating to the number of patient contacts offered/clinical sessions carried out in order to minimise wait times/ensure treatment delivery remains accessible/convenient Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals/patients in treatment Complete all requirements relating to data collection Keep coherent/timely records of all clinical activity in line with protocols Work closely with team members ensuring appropriate step-up/stepdown arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach Assess/integrate issues surrounding work/employment into the overall therapy process Maintain clinical record/complete clinical measures/patient outcome/patient satisfaction measures in line with policy Deal with frequent highly distressing/emotional circumstances & psychological content including complex trauma &/or abuse, challenging behaviours/longstanding mental health difficulties Further information about the Trust and this role can be found on the Job Description and Person Specification document attached. We care for children who are ill or injured ranging from minor illness to major trauma. We are currently in the process of building a brand new Emergency Department that is due to open later this year. It is essential that the nurse applying has a NMC Paeds PIN, so is on the NMC register as a children's nurse. At this time we unfortunately cannot accept adults nurses that only have and adult NMC pin.
