The role is to manage health, safety and well-being issues throughout the business, getting involved at precon, pqq and bid stages to promote the companies operations and values, and work with the site delivery teams on training, development, audits and effectively managing teams and subcontractors on site. You will also work with with the site management teams on site again at prestart to outline the company policy and standards expected, audit and check the staff and operations, work with them and help develop an atmosphere of mutual trust and 2 way communication - they are looking for people to engage and involve people rather than the outdated site policeman type of image.

You will also be responsible for the well-being and wider mental health of the staff and supply chain in the business, investing time to introduce industry leading programmes.

The role would suit someone currently working for a Tier 1 or large regional business as a trainee ready to make the jump forward or an established advisor with an interest in civil engineering and be able to implement your own ideas and would be highly beneficial if you have any experience in RC frames, groundworks, civil engineering.

The Band 7 alcohol specialist nurse will provide nursing leadership to enhance the effectiveness of the service, and reduce the risk of unsafe management of adult patients with alcohol dependence across all divisions in UHS, as well as contributing to the clinical rota. You will work across professional, departmental and Trust boundaries to develop and support patient-centred seamless care, with responsibility for leading nurse-led alcohol care initiatives. You will be a skilled practitioner in the assessment and management of alcohol use disorder, able to deliver care meeting up to date national guidance and research. Interventions will include knowledgeable Identification and brief advice (IBA), medically assisted alcohol withdrawal (MAAW) and motivational interviewing (MI). You will need to maintain a level of competence to provide specialist clinical advice and support to staff within the hospital and other agencies concerned with substance misuse more broadly; supporting the development of policies and procedures within the hospital for substance use clients and services. ACTs provide a liaison service to teams across UHS for some of the most complex and vulnerable patients who have often experienced significant levels of trauma and have complex social situations as well as comorbid physical and mental health conditions. As such the supervision and development of the team requires an experienced team leader.

Working as part of a team you will; assess patients medication brought in from home for use during their inpatient stay manage and supply patient specific medication and ward stock label, dispense and transport medication at ward level and within dispensary assess and return medication to stock and transfer medication between areas update ward plans and liaise with other Medicines Management and pharmacy staff to provide near-patient services, assisting with timely delivery of pharmacy services and patient discharges around the Trust For this role you will; need to have, or be working towards NVQ Level 2 (with a minimum of three core competencies completed) in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent (unit 204 of NVQ 2 and hospital experience would be an advantage) be enthusiastic about working in a team, comfortable working individually and dedicated to providing the best possible service for the best possible patient outcome have experience working in pharmacy and be keen to develop and contribute to an emerging role have excellent written and verbal communication skills be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable.
