During the two year programme you may rotate across two sectors, which would include a GP Practice and Community Pharmacy.

The Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) Apprenticeship is a two year fixed term training post which will enable the student to train and study to apply to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC. There is an on-going requirement for the post holder to complete assignments, work to deadlines and work based competencies throughout the entire duration of the fixed term post.

The post holder will:

• Undertake a training program for Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician (PTPT) Apprentices and successfully complete all assignments and educational tasks in a timely manner to satisfy the requirements of the award.

• Carry out pharmaceutical duties which will enable them to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

• Carry out pharmaceutical duties under the direct supervision of an appropriate qualified person (pharmacist and/or technician) in all necessary departments of the Pharmacy Directorate. (Some of the duties will be in the form of training exercises and/or competence based assessment in conjunction with qualification criteria.)

• Co-operate with all pharmacy staff in providing and developing a safe, efficient and comprehensive pharmaceutical service which is focused on the needs of patients/customers and the wider Trust. This will be in accordance with local standard operating procedures.

The ICS is a partnership of NHS, council, voluntary and community organisations with a shared vision to make ‘Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent the healthiest place to live and work’.

The ICS will be led by an NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB), a statutory organisation with responsibility for NHS functions and budgets, and an Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), a statutory committee bringing together all system partners to produce a health and care strategy.

Together with two health and wellbeing boards, each ‘Place’ arrangement will plan and deliver services that meet the needs of local communities.

During your apprenticeship you will be employed by MPFT as the ‘host’ trust and managed by the ICS People Function Apprentice Team.

The Apprentice team will support you throughout your apprenticeship with the support of your placement and educational supervisors along with the team from the college. They will arrange your placements and help to ensure the resources you need are available to ensure your apprenticeship is enjoyable and fulfilling.

Job Purpose

Assess all aspects of client's care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure and maintain high levels of health, safety, and environmental compliance across the company
• Safety Culture Development: Engage with teams to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
• Training & Competence Management: Lead the review, planning, and delivery of training, ensuring a committed and competent workforce.Monitor and review company-wide training databases.

• Safety Inductions & Briefings: Lead the preparation and delivery of inductions, safety stand-downs, alerts, lessons learned, and toolbox talks.

• Safety Audits: Develop and deliver a programme of planned safety, health, and environmental audits. Undertake site inspections and safety audits, compiling reports with recommendations for improvement. Ensure the timely close-out of audit findings and actions.

• Engagement & Near Miss Reporting:Engage with directors, managers, supervisors, advisors, site teams, and suppliers to promote proactive near-miss awareness and reporting.

• Safety Inspections & Monitoring:Promote a consistent approach to undertaking and recording safety inspections.

• Accident & Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, providing feedback and sharing lessons learned.

• Regulatory Liaison: Liaise with representatives of the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and other regulatory authorities.

• Reporting & Statistics:Compile statistics for reports and presentations, supporting performance monitoring.

• Subcontractor Management: Support the review of subcontractors and suppliers before appointment and monitor their ongoing performance.

• Health & Safety Assurance: Undertake health and safety assurance activities during the pre-construction and construction phases of projects.

• Policy Development & Improvement: Develop and review health and safety policies and suggest process improvements.

• Risk Assessments & COSHH

• Audit Assistance: Assist the SHEQ Manager with external audits (ISO9001, 14001, 45001, 44001, etc.).

Qualifications & Memberships:

• IOSH Membership: Graduate minimum, Chartered desirable.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or higher.
• IEMA Foundation Certificate (Desirable).
• PTS (Desirable).
• CSCS Card (relevant to position).
• 5-Day SMSTS (Desirable).
• NEBOSH Fire Certification (Desirable).
• Auditing Qualifications (Desirable).
• RPE Face Fit Training (Desirable).
• Valid Driving Licence required.

Experience & Behavioural Competencies:

Experience:

• 2-3 years in a health and safety management role in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations, HSG65, and risk assessment principles.
• Experience auditing management systems and workplaces (ISO 9001, BS EN 14001, OHSAS 18001).

Are you a social work professional with an interest in children's mental health?

With a County wide remit you will provide support, guidance, advice and direction to children’s social care services in relation to children’s mental health. Being the interface between children’s social care and children’s mental health services to promote a joined-up approach to working with children where there are mental health concerns.

You'll also work with commissioners within children’s social care and health to assist with the procurement of services, particularly in relation to joint responsibilities under the Mental Health Act (1983/2007) Section 117 aftercare. Combining health and social models of intervention is more likely to promote resilience and recovery for vulnerable children.

A key function of this role is to challenge dominant medical perspectives of mental health and ensure that children’s social work issues and themes are considered by mental health services in their work with children.

You'll provide training and guidance across children’s services to deliver practice improvement and be responsive to local and national developments. Undertaking the role of an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) on behalf of Staffordshire County Council ensuring that the wider AMHP service is supported with matters involving AMHP assessments of children. As well as mentoring and supervision of a small number of AMHP's employed in children's services.

Main Responsibilities

You'll also:

• provide professional guidance and support to practitioners and managers with case work and promoting enhanced knowledge and skills in relation to children's mental health.
• maintain local processes for the interface between the Emotional Well-Being Service, Community CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) teams and the Children and Families service.
• deliver mental health training in order to enhance the knowledge base and skills of Children and Families teams.
• update staff within Staffordshire Health Care Trust(s) with relevant children’s social care developments, practice and policies in order to promote their understanding of children’s social care.
• act as a professional lead and represent the Children and Families service at various National and strategic mental health forums. Working with senior managers on local, regional and national opportunities for improvement across the children’s mental health sector. This will include contributing towards new and developing initiatives across Staffordshire
• Take responsibility for maintaining a database of all Staffordshire children admitted and discharged from inpatient services and produce reports to Strategic Leads in order to understand the local population of children cared for through inpatient settings
• undertake Mental Health Act Assessments x 2 days per working month, in line with AMHP duties on behalf of Staffordshire County Council. To support AMPH’s across Staffordshire to develop their understanding of the children’s perspective

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be a qualified Social Worker and have additional professional qualifications that evidence skills and knowledge in working with or mentoring others as well as:

• an approved mental health practitioner, AMHP and be registered with Social Work England.
• experience of working at a senior level in a local authority.
• have good knowledge of relevant legislation in respect of children's social care and mental health.
• the ability to lead service change and improvements and be able to quickly build and maintain strong and credible stakeholder relationships.
• excellent communication skills and be able to promote learning and wok collaboratively in a complex field of practice in order to promote shared learning and joint working.
