The team is seven day working and this post would be included in that rota (frequency of 1:6 weekends) with rest days in the following week. Your development will be supported by Band 7 therapists. We currently have an opportunity for a Transfusion Practitioner (TP) at Band 7 to become part of our progressive organisation and Transfusion team.

The successful candidate will be involved in providing the education to Trust and external staff in cold chain management, and be involved in managing Traceability figures, investigating SHOT/SABRE incidents/Datix/Non-conformances, performing audits (national/regional) and presenting risk to a senior level. Involvement in projects such as cell-salvage will be required.

The post-holder will provide specialist support, guidance and consultation on clients psychological care in relation to self-management to other multi-disciplinary professionals. The post-holder will support the MDT and assistant psychologists to implement a range of psychological interventions for individual clients, influence team practice and work directly with a small caseload of complex clients in relation to self-management. The post-holder will take responsibility with the Consultant Psychologist for Psychological practice within the service.
