Mon - Fri Days + Overtime & Bens - flexible start times 7am/8am/9am

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the routine and preventative maintenance onsite.

Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Roles and Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
• Ensure all automation within the business operates efficiently and effectively by carrying out regular inspections and diagnosing faults
• Overcome unplanned problems and where possible carry out repairs
• Work with other maintenance engineers to design and implement a preventative maintenance plan
• Work with specialist equipment, such as programable logic controllers (PLC)
• Facilitate installations of new machinery, automation projects and partake in site improvement projects
• Carry out all work in line with company Health and safety guidelines
• Ensure that your working area is kept in a safe and tidy

Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Mandatory Responsibilities

HSE Officer - Role Overview
The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Officer is a dedicated role within the operations team to promote and maintain the HSE culture and performance within the company. The role will monitor HSE information and metrics, assess risk, consult and advise on HSE issues drawing on best practice professionalism, contribute to improvement projects and raise HSE non-compliances.

HSE Officer - Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide day to day support, guidance and advice to the management team as the business's professional on Health, Safety and Environmental Matters
• Develop and maintain risk assessments for all necessary working operations, activities and machines.
• Engage with all operations staff from shop floor to management to promote and improve HSE behaviours and culture
• Maintain incident reporting & actions system, coordinate any related incident investigations and complete and submit RIDDOR reporting if necessary
• Maintain the H&S management system covering incident reporting & resolving, HSE documentation, audit schedules and risk assessments
• Maintain training records to ensure that all OP'S staff have necessary training to fulfil practical and legislative requirements and advise on appropriate courses.
• Ensure occupational health activities are carried out in conjunction with HR department
• Support business HSE improvement initiatives
• Support the business on any environmental requirements and improvements on it's journey towards ISO14001
• Manage the COSHH System
• Coordinate and maintain the H&S meetings schedule

HSE Officer - Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Previous significant experience of working in an HSE environment preferably within a manufacturing or engineering capacity
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems
• NEBOSH level 6 Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Professionals or equivalent
• NEBOSH Environmental Management Certification, equivalent or desire to achieve.
• Strong administrative skills and IT literacy
• Approachable nature

Tool Technician - ROLE OVERVIEW

In this role you will be responsible for site wide injection/compression moulding tool changes in line with production requirements.

Tool Technician - ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for all aspects of tool change including area preparation, tool preparation, placement in machine, water connections etc. Ensuring the tool is ready for start-up.
* Changing mold inserts and plates as required
* Servicing/maintenance where required under instruction of maintenance manager
* Developing more efficient tool changes using SMED principles
* Using CMMS software to track tool changes, repairs, observations and follow on jobs.
* Communication of issues with tools to other teams
* Assisting the maintenance team with other jobs as required

Tool Technician - DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Strong general mechanical knowledge and experience within a heavy equipment environment, ideally in the plastics industry.
* Experience in operation of overhead hoists, lifting and slinging
* Experience with heavy tool changes - tool range 200Kg - 8000Kg
* Ability to read and follow technical documentation
* Candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
* Must be PC literate
* Required to work with counterbalance FL trucks (Current licence desirable but not essential)
