Your role
As a HR & Finance Assistant at the Standard London you will support both the wider HR & Finance teams undertaking a range of administration duties.
Within HR you will support our HR team in providing an end-to-end HR service to all managers and employees; this will include general HR administration, maintaining Fourth our HR & payroll system, Mapal One our LMS (Learning Management system) and Peoplebank ATS. Within the HR Office you will be a first point of contact for our employees, dealing with general enquiries and questions. You will also oversee various employee engagement events such as our summer and winter parties and get involved in other monthly social activities across the hotel.
Within the Finance team you will support a range of accounting duties which may include; overseeing transactions and payments relating to our accounts' payable ledger, income audit, logging invoices and cashiering. You will also undertake a number of duties to support month end.
This is not a ‘Standard' HR & Finance Assistant position so you will need to have miles and miles of personality and stamina, be highly social, upbeat, and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment and able to work equally well both independently and as part of a team.

While prior experience in either HR or Finance is always useful, this is an entry level role so it will really be your motivation and drive to gain experience in these departments that will be a deciding factor.
In addition to this you may also have….
* Prior experience in an administration role, ideally gained within Hospitality
* Have some basic knowledge and interest in the HR & Finance function
* Experience in an operational hospitality role, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle' or boutique hotel sector
* A recent hotel school graduate looking or current student looking for a 1-year placement
* Have exceptional administration and organisation skills with great attention to detail.
* Intermediate experience of using all Microsoft applications is advantageous.
