We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young people in our community. As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting youth through various programs and activities aimed at enhancing their social, emotional, and educational development. Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging programs and activities tailored to the needs of young people.
Provide individual and group support to youth, helping them learn essential life skills.
Act as a mentor and role model, fostering positive relationships with participants.
Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to coordinate resources and support.
Maintain accurate records of participation, engagement, and progress of individuals in the programs.
Facilitate workshops on topics such as conflict resolution, self-esteem, and career exploration.
Assess and address the unique challenges faced by young people, providing suitable referrals when necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
Experience working with youth in community settings or educational environments.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with youth and families.
Ability to develop and implement innovative programs that meet the needs of diverse youth.
Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of youth development principles and best practices in mentoring.
First-aid and CPR certification, with a willingness to obtain any additional certifications as required.
Hours Per Week: 35
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £22.55
Location: Enfield, London
