We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible Facilities Manager to join our Facilities team to ensure the maintenance of the Academy's estate including buildings, facilities and Health and Safety. You must guarantee a very high and consistent standard is met to satisfy the academy's requirements and those of all regulatory and statutory bodies.

You will be responsible for the day to day, medium and long-term maintenance, to provide an appropriate safe and secure environment for the education of students and the safe, comfortable and effective work of all the staff, members of the school stakeholders, contractors and other visitorsYou will have responsibility for managing the facilities team and associated contractor's in-line with statute, appropriate guidance, best practice and within budget.To be successful in this role you will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy, relevant health and safety qualifications (or be willing to work towards them), and experience of managing an estate at a strategic level in either the public or private sector.

You should have a flexible approach, be able to build a rapport with staff and students and be able to work under pressure.

Are you an experienced Area Cleaning Manager experienced in managing a variety of contracts, based in the Birmingham area?

You will be working as an Area Manager in the Birmingham area looking after around 17 sites and will report into the Regional Manager, the sites are all schools and you will be in charge of your own diary visiting them regularly

  Your Role

  • Responsibility for contract /cleaner performance to achieve and exceed contract SLA and KPI
    
  • Client Relationship management with key focus on service delivery, retention, and contract growth
    
  • Management of all directly employed staff, including recruitment and selection, training, performance management and staff retention.
    
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
    
  • Implementation of all company policies and procedures
    
  • Contact point for enquiries from departments including sales, stores, administration, accounts, and payroll.
    
  • Site visits. In line with client contractual requirement,
    
  • Arranging maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment, ensure PAT testing compliance
    
  • Pre-sale involvement before contract becomes operational, attending new client site meetings with Business Development Managers, managing TUPE transfer and recruitment of operatives
    
  • Provision of cover cleaning operatives, often at short notice
    
  • Any other ad hoc duties and tasks required
    

    About you

    • Experience of managing multiple cleaning sites & contracts ideally from an educational background
      
    • Ability to liaise and work professionally with clients and staff
      
    • Experience of motivating, managing and leading cleaning teams in excess of 30
      
    • Excellent communication skills
      
    • Full UK Driving licence
