Overview & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The HR Manager develops, monitors and coordinates Human Resources policies & practices in a regional group to ensure achievement of business goals. Assists operating management in the interpretation and application of existing human resource policies, and applicable government regulations. Provides strategic and functional guidance of HR "best practices" to assist business regional leadership in meeting business objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
Strategic partnering with regional leadership on all organizational related issues – from Org Planning & Design to Recruitment, to rationalizing HR policies
Develops and executes people plan aligned with global and regional business objectives – organizational design, succession planning, talent management, high potential identification, etc.
Utilizes global contacts and resources to ensure policies and procedures are in line with company initiatives.
Recruits, interviews and assists in selection of candidates for open position when requested by operating managers. Manages employment process to ensure a talented & diverse applicant pool.
Advises on legal and organizational implications of various organization issues / challenges and provides solutions.
Develops and harmonizes compensation plans within regions to help drive achievement of Business Objectives, while meeting local and regional practices.
Identifies and implements performance management, training / employee developmental programs, to ensure region has the talent necessary to achieve their short-term and long-term business objectives.
Participates in business unit HR leadership councils, committees and councils to support the human resource function.
HR ‘champion’ of business strategy and culture change – leads the transformation.
Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Five years of experience in a regional HR position.
Working knowledge of HR practices and regulations within the designated region.
Strong communication skills.
