You will be working for a world-leading manufacturing wholesaler. My client is seeking a dynamic leader to join the team as the Head of Operations Solutions & Transformations reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer. This pivotal role will drive operational growth and strategic objectives, transforming our supply chain, logistics, and warehousing activities.
Your new role
In this role, you will optimise the logistics footprint by leading the design and implementation of network changes, and support the development of innovative last-mile concepts. You will identify and implement tools to enhance warehouse operations, develop commercially optimised logistics solutions for future growth, and incorporate cross-industry best practices. As part of the Operations leadership team, you will contribute to the annual budgeting process, align quarterly KVD road maps, and support IT and capex planning for the supply chain. You will manage internal and external partners, ensuring compliance with internal governance processes. Performance will be measured against Group EBITDA, NPS, KVDS, and other key performance indicators agreed with the COO. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to Good Distribution Practices.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain, logistics, and warehousing optimisation, including leading significant change programs across multi-sector operations. They should possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a data-driven approach to decision-making, are essential. The candidate should be adept at developing and implementing strategic plans, managing internal and external resources, and presenting effectively. Knowledge of transformation methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile, and familiarity with change management principles are required. Additionally, the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously is crucial.
What you'll get in return
For this position you will receive a permanent contract alongside an annual salary of up to £130,000 DOE. This comes with a car or car allowance and a 30% discretionary bonus paid annually. There is also a life assurance policy, a private healthcare scheme and a matched pension, as well as 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
