About The Role:

A skilled, innovative CNC Milling Machine Shop Cell Leader, capable of implementing processes and procedures as part of the company’s development and delivery of safety critical products, while equally versed in problem solving and continuous improvement techniques. You will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplined team, as well as being a self-driven individual capable of achieving project target requirements and timescales.

Job Purpose / Objectives:
• To effectively organise and manage people; machines and workflow to ensure that production plans are achieved, and customer requirements satisfied.
• To ensure that daily; weekly and monthly production targets are achieved across the Cell – as measured by Schedule Adherence and other KPIs.
• To maintain a Safe, Clean and Organised (6S) working environment by ensuring that all health, safety and 6S practices; policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.
Responsibilities:
• ‘Hands-on’ working cell leader role - able to programme; set; operate and troubleshoot each process within the cell.
• Production of parts within the cell – target of 80% of time producing parts.
• Prioritise and manage the order in which works orders are completed within the Cell, ensuring that Works Order due dates are achieved; production capacity is maximised, and Cell downtime is minimised.
• Lead daily ‘start of shift’ and ‘end of shift’ production plan and KPI meetings with all Cell team members (and support staff as required) monitor and manage Cell performance, and to identify and agree daily priorities with members of other Departments and work collectively to ship products to our customers by the required ship date.
• Promote and embed good standards of housekeeping; cleanliness and 6S across the cell to maintain a safe; clean and organised working environment always.
• Promote a team working environment across the Cell, and encourage and support continuous improvement activities to achieve identified improvements.
• Identify and resolve quality issues using daily scrap walks and root cause analysis in order to reduce scrap, non-conformance and rework.
• Work closely with Production Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure optimal running of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Recruitment and training of team members, ensuring that team members are trained to a defined standard and are competent to perform their duties at both quality and output standards as identified by the skills matrix for each operator. Manage holidays; time keeping; grievances and discipline across the team (with support from HR) to ensure that manpower is always in place to deliver the production plan.
• Ensure that daily shopfloor work booking, and route card disciplines are instilled into the team’s daily activities.

Managing around 6.8 million domestic, industrial and commercial combined gas assets. Effectively allowing them to reliably and safely access the energy needed. Alongside assisting with supplying pipeline repair, maintenance and intervention nationwide. Due to the growth in the company, they are now looking for a senior project manager.

Your new role
You will work with your direct reports to ensure your portfolio is delivered to plan. Alongside engaging with wider internal and external stakeholders (finance, procurement and operation teams). Implementation of contract management skills (NEC and options A,C & E) and SHES Management will be applied to make you successful within your role.

What you'll need to succeed
As senior project manager to be successful, you will have experience within the construction and utilities industry. You will also have strong leadership skills, a project management qualification and a UK Driving licence and ability for nationwide travel.

Your new role
In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to, reviewing commercial plans to deliver maximum margin, managing CVRs on a monthly basis, providing contractual advice during the tendering process, managing monthly commercial audit processes, managing and reviewing costs to complete forecasts, maximising monthly valuations as well as dealing with claim preparations, final account negotiations and settlements.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and have previous experience in surveying and commercial line management. You will be well-versed with NEC forms of contracts and come from a Civil Engineering background. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and networking skills and be able to prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines.
