In this job role as Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers in either KS1 or KS2 and be expected to provide additional support. You will be helping the teachers to monitor progress and focus on phonics, maths, reading and writing. The role is to support children in their learning and behavioural needs, and you will play a massive role in their development and educational success. You should possess good communication skills and be able to build up relationships quickly with both pupils and staff.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role, but it is not essential as it will depend on the school you are placed in.
