Mechanical Crane Engineer
Location: Shotton (CH5)
Salary: £33,477 starting and then progressing up to - £36,651 per annum + Bonus day shift

Your role will involve working with machinery that's integral to a wide range of industries, including home appliances, construction, and more.
What you will do:
You will oversee the mechanical upkeep, overhaul, and repair of our crane equipment, ensuring high-level bay maintenance. Your hands-on approach will also extend to general production line maintenance during downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in compliance with our IMS procedures and PPE guidelines.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Overhead Travelling Cranes.
- Perform high-quality mechanical repairs based on existing schematics within set timelines.
- Contribute to the design and production of spare parts for cranes.
- Engage in the refurbishment of current machinery.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, enhancing safety and cleanliness within the Crane Maintenance Team.
- Perform additional duties in Workshops, auxiliary plants, and during downshifts as needed.
- Conduct Zone Safety audits and Risk assessments in accordance with our Safety Sub Plan.
What you will need:
We're seeking a seasoned fitter with substantial experience in the steel or construction industry. Possession of an NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
