Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for finance? We’re seeking a Financial Business Partner to play a crucial role in our organisation. As the month-end reporting expert, you’ll collaborate with the Resourcing & Strategic Finance Business Partner to ensure accurate financial insights for our Consolidated Group.
We are on the lookout for a Finance Business Partner to join our team and provide expert month-end reporting. This role is crucial for delivering accurate financial insights for our Consolidated Group and collaborating closely with the Resourcing & Strategic Finance Business Partner. As a strategic thinker with a passion for finance, you will be at the forefront of advising managers on their P&Ls, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with budget holders and senior managers.
- Interpret and communicate financial trends to influence decision-making.
- Provide financial analysis and business insight to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Work with the wider finance team to create and provide insightful management information backed by meaningful analysis.
- Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance by coaching non-finance managers.
- Track, monitor, and consolidate individual project costs, forecasts, and budgets.
- Create month-end reports for distribution to budget holders and senior leaders.
- Produce annual budgets, guiding stakeholders to align with strategic objectives.
- Organise and attend regular finance catch-ups and review meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant or part-qualified with substantial experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record in a dynamic commercial environment, producing insights and influencing non-financial managers.
- Broad experience in finance business partnering and management accounting reporting.
- Confident and approachable manner with strong financial modelling, computer literacy, and business acumen.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and assist non-financial managers in understanding performance.
- Experience in using SAP-based finance/accounting systems; proficiency in other systems is also beneficial.
- High level of competence in Excel for data analysis and forecasting/reporting model development.
- Ideally, competence in the use of Power BI tools for financial modelling.
