The role
As an HR Administrator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Employee Lifecycle Team (ELT) is a specialist department that provides accurate, efficient and effective support to employees and line managers across all Babcock sites and for all stages of the employee lifecycle process.
Day-to-day, you'll be expected to provide accurate advice and guidance across many HR related topics that we cover within the ELT. People are at the heart of everything we do and being committed to providing this support at the highest level of customer service is absolutely key.
- Manage escalated HR inquiries from the PeopleCentre, ensuring alignment with company policy and employment law.
- Process employee lifecycle events (leavers, contract changes) and provide advice on Work Life Integration and Inclusive Leave policies.
- Adhere to business standards and legal requirements in all HR processes and activities.
- Resolve employee payroll queries in collaboration with Time and Attendance and Payroll teams.
- Handle PENP calculations and ER outcomes for leavers.
- Draft letters and contracts for contract variations while meeting payroll deadlines.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days onsite at Rosyth and two days working from home.
Essential experience of the HR Administrator:
- Previous experience working in a similar fast paced HR role with a good understanding of current HR policies, GDPR and Employment Law
- Exposure to payroll practices
- Be committed to providing the highest-level customer service, while providing guidance and advice in a fast-paced environment
- Be proactive and organised to resolve queries within expected timescales
- Meticulous attention to detail required for updating the HR system Success Factors
Qualifications for the PeopleCentre Administrator:
- CIPD Level 3 qualification desired or relevant experience or working towards this
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role
