Our client is a small family owned and run business with over 20 years in the market. They work with small light commercial vehicles; mainly Mercedes Benz.
They are seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic / Technician to join their friendly team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles (ideally including PSV). This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and tools within their facility.
Auto Mechanic / Technician duties:
- General service, maintenance and repair of public service vehicles
- MOT inspection and preparation
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation

As their Auto Mechanic / Technician you will need:
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy vehicle maintenance
- NVQ level 3 Light vehicle will be considered, and training given
- Ability to produce report documentation in a clear accurate and readable manner
- PCV license desirable however will be able to support obtaining this
- IRTEC qualified however training can be given
Hours
As their Auto Mechanic / Technician you will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Part time also considered i.e. 3 days per week or similar (negotiable).
Salary £36,400-£39,520 per year (FTE).
