The Opportunity:

The answer is you—a Network Security Risk Specialist who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.  

As a Network Security Risk Specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with DOD clients to discover their cyber risks, understand policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from Subject Matter Experts and Engineers to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

You Have: 

• 8+ years of experience with DoD network engineering and management

• 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity

• Experience with eMASS, ACAS Security Center, and Nessus Scanner

• Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and NIST framework

• Knowledge of varied Firewall, IDS, and IPS technologies, Endpoint Security products, Security Incident and Event Management, and PKI

• Ability to produce documentation, briefing materials, and network diagrams in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Key Role:

Support aerial autonomy research as a pilot and technician, including small quadrotor and fixed wing systems. Support the building, design, piloting, and management of small unmanned aerial systems for autonomous experimentation. Act as a safety pilot, flying the UAS manually in stabilized or acro modes if software failures occur during testing. Leverage expertise in drone hobbyist technologies and management of the drone fleets to ensure they are ready for experimentation and evolving as needed with current trends to maintain system relevance. Perform as part of a larger team and apply good teamwork with researchers to perform experiments, both in the laboratory and in realistic environments, to evaluate algorithm performance as well as contributing to aerial robotic demonstrations. Contribute to conversations in UAS design decisions with researchers and guide UAS designs for better experimental output. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts and industry knowledge. Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity and refer more complex issues to higher levels. Work under direct supervision.

Using lifecycle processes, applications integrations, and an Agile Framework, you’ll work alongside software development engineers to integrate communication systems. You’ll use configuration management tools to plan, organize, and conduct integration projects that meet design specifications and standards from inception to completion.   

In this role, you’ll impact the DoD by guaranteeing solutions in their communication networks. You Have:  

• 10+ years of experience with tactical network systems engineering 

• Ability to develop, implement, and document engineering, integration, and readiness processes and procedures for tactical network systems   

• Ability to prepare documentation and maintain configuration item baselines, including version controls of software deliverables 

• Ability to assist in management, maintenance, and automating of configuration management tools

• Ability to analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions 

• Ability to coordinate with program, project, and product management offices to assess the efficacy of the engineering and integration processes 

• Ability to maintain proper version controls of software deliveries and oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments. 

• Ability to participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system.

• Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, and make minor adaptations and modifications

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in Telecom Engineering

• Experience with Cisco VOIP

• Experience in designing and implementing LANs or VLANs

• Experience with routing Protocols and MULTICAST

• Experience with network protocol analysis using Sniffer or Wireshark

• Experience with VMware

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree

• CCNA or CCNP Certification

• Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Certification within 6 months of hire

 Nice If You Have:

• Experience in engineering design, development, integration, installation, operation, and maintenance of the WIN-T network

• Experience with commercial communications equipment

• Knowledge of radio bridging and cross banding

• Knowledge of RF engineering, Tactical Communication Systems, or Program Management
