An exiting opportunity has arisen within the Bedford Borough Council Finance team for a CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance Business Partner working in the Technical Team. Bedford Borough Council is one of the fastest growing unitary authorities and there are some inspiring projects in the pipeline, where a determined, detail focused candidate could make a real difference.
Bedford's Finance team is designed to be an effective partner to the service: driving decisions upfront to improve performance, including Bedford's diverse capital programme, which includes road and rail upgrades. We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic finance professional to join our team.
You will be responsible for delivering the Councils Financial Statements in line with statutory requirements and timescales, managing the Council's Technical Accounting functions including Capital Strategy and Planning and Treasury Management.
You must be able to work at pace and have excellent communication skills as you will be talking to a wide range of financial and non finance stakeholders. You will have a broad remit, access to wider developmental opportunities and the support of experienced finance professionals throughout the team.
