Functional Skills Maths Tutor
We are seeking a self-motivated and qualified teacher to develop and deliver online Functional Skills Maths training for learners aged 16 years +. As an online tutor, you’ll need to be comfortable with running classes through online conferencing such as Zoom. Applicants should have a minimum Level 3 Maths qualification and a recognised teaching qualification is essential. You’ll work closely with Apprentices to help them achieve Functional Skills maths qualifications in a timely and supportive way, helping them gain confidence in using maths in Marketing too.

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive functional skills Maths training to learners online
- Assess individual needs and tailor training plans accordingly
- Create lesson plans, resources and assessments aligned with the curriculum
- Provide support and feedback
- Track and report on learner’s progress to the management team and keep clear records
- Foster a supportive, safe and inclusive learning environment in which learners feel heard
- Stay updated on Safeguarding and Prevent training
- Stay updated on teaching best practices and feed into the continuous improvement of curriculum content
- Commit to your own professional development (CPD) to maintain professional standards in line with QTLS
Requirements
- Preferred Qualified Teacher Status or essential PGCE and minimum Level 3 Maths
- Comfortable using online teaching and assessment tools and software
- Strong communication skills and a team player
- Passion for life-long learning and commitment to student success
