ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
Mobile Engineer (Heating & Plumbing Services)
Salary £38,000.00 per annum
Hours: Permanent, 40 Hours per week 0800-16:30 Monday to Friday
Location: North Witts Schools
To work as part of the FM team undertaking a range of duties and tasks comprising but not exclusively commercial plumbing, heating, water management (L8), plant and machinery maintenance, and PPM activities in order to meet the Contractor’s contractual Service requirements. To support the direct operational activities of the Contract in respect of value for money asset management.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To perform Planned Programmed Maintenance activities
To perform reactive repairs
To perform maintenance tasks
To monitor performance of plant and equipment
To plan, resource and undertake remedial works arising from Planned Programmed Maintenance, reactive repairs and maintenance tasks
To close works tasks in a timely and satisfactory manner within the required rectification times to minimise possibility of incurring performance penalties
To update Planned Programmed Maintenance records and other relevant records to evidence statutory compliance and to meet G4S H & S Policy and Safe Systems of Work Procedures
To ensure daily recording of tasks/events/actions is carried out and reported as appropriate
To act as the Responsible Person for Water Risk Management (L8)
To undertake works under ANC/ Variations including preparation of work schedules, costs and quotes for requested works
To maintain competencies in and provide appropriate advice and guidance to contractors/employees/management to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with H&S legislation and good practice
To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and emergency procedures as required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Essential:
PASMA Safe Use of a Scaffold Tower or Mobile Tower
IPAF Certification
IOSH Managing Safety
Confined Spaces Low Risk
RPZ Testing and Certification
TMV Installation and Maintenance
Asbestos Awareness
L8 Responsible Person Certificate
Operational and maintenance experience of cold and hot water systems, heating systems, gas and CHP systems, BMS systems (TREND) and works associated with plant and equipment
Knowledgeable in relevant Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permit to Work procedures
Full driving licence with Category Part BE
To obtain relevant DBS clearance and meet G4S vetting procedures.
Desirable:
Qualified to minimum of HNC or equivalent in a Building Services, Electrical and Mechanical discipline
PC literacy, MS Office Suite.
