Software Developer with IT Support Experience

Location: Warwickshire (Onsite, 5 days a week) Salary: Up to £48,000

My client is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer with a strong background in 2nd and 3rd line IT support to join our organisation. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in IT support and expertise in PHP, HTML, and CSS. This dual role involves both software development and maintaining smooth IT operations to ensure minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for end-user issues (PCs, mobile devices, and office applications)
• Manage helpdesk tickets and provide timely resolutions
• Support and configure servers (Windows 2019, O365, VMware, Linux)
• Provide additional business support, including building management systems
• Assist in IT operations and projects
• Offer network support and maintain cybersecurity measures (e.g., EDR)
• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal and external web pages

Requirements:

• Strong experience in PHP, HTML, and CSS
• Proven support experience with Office365 administration, MS Office applications, Windows 2019 server, VMware, Linux, PC hardware/software maintenance, and networking
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a small team
• Flexible "can-do" attitude and a desire to learn and grow in the field

Desirable:

• Experience with MySQL and MSSQL database management and queries
