Pay Rate: £35,000 - £45,000

Whats the job?
⦁ Programming and Use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (MCosmos Mitutoyo software).
⦁ Use of general measuring equipment including micrometers, surface testers and contour tracers
⦁ Maintaining route card completion.
⦁ Working within a team of quality related personnel.
⦁ Working with First Article Reporting methods
⦁ Ability to operate & communicate within all functions and levels within the business.
⦁ Can use Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word).
⦁ Work to Local Works Instructions and Quality Control Documents.
⦁ Must have a good eye for detail.
⦁ Ensures adherence to the Environmental Health & Safety policy at all times

Knowledge, experience & qualifications

CNC TURNING MACHINE PROGRAMMER/SETTER/OPERATOR

Coventry

£32,000 - £36,000

Monday to Thursday - 7:30am to 4:30pm

Friday - 7:30am to 12:30pm

Our Coventry based client are a supplier to the aerospace and defence industries for over 40 years, specialising in producing precision components. They work with a range of materials including brass, aluminium, mild and chromium steels to Inconel and stainless steels.

⦁ Relevant Engineering Qualification
⦁ Ideally Apprentice Trained
⦁ Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
⦁ Competent in Fanuc controls and programming
⦁ Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools etc.
⦁ Able to move offsets
⦁ Able to prove unproven programs, safely
⦁ Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
⦁ Conversant with Lynx and Doosan machinery (essential)
⦁ Conversant with STAR Sliding Head Lathe (Preferable)
⦁ CAM experience (Preferable)
⦁ Multi-axis and sub-spindle
⦁ Working to tight tolerances
⦁ Experience of working with a wide range of materials including , Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.

Role Responsibilities -

• For the role CNC Turner, you will be setting and operating and programming various Turning machines such as Doosan and Mazak
• You will be working with Fanuc software for the role of CNC Turner.
• For the role of CNC Turner, you will be checking your own work and completing one offs and small batch work.

Role requirements -

**General** **Summary of position: **

The client manufacture of complex pressings and assemblies, across 4 sites utilising state of the art equipment and production methods including the latest in CNC Machining.

We design, program and manufacture most of our press tooling in house, and we are looking for an experienced CNC programmer to join our technical team, leading a small team of machinists. (4 machines in total across 2 shifts)



**Main Duties & Responsibilities:**


* To program, set up and operate Dugaurd 3 axis milling machines
* Strong knowledge of Visi Cam
* To produce complex tooling to a high standard of quality and specification
* Ability to read technical drawings, through to design and manufacture.
* Plan and manage the output and efficiency of all 4 machines
* Planning of people, shifts and machines to support tight timing plans over 2 shifts
* Adhere to health & safety regulations, ensuring a positive safety culture is realised and maintained
