• Evidence of ongoing professional development in education leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of the Design and Technology National Curriculum.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to analyse data and use it to inform teaching and learning.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for Design and Technology and improving pupil outcomes.
• Good up to date understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues and procedures.
• To have the personal skills and desire to help teaching colleagues who may be experiencing difficulties.
• To have an understanding of how the school’s community supports teaching and learning and raises achievement in the school.

Salary: £36,524 - £41,792 per annum
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
37 Hours per Week

Are you a sharp and engaged technology specialist ready for a new challenge?

As a Technology Specialist - Applications, you will be a SME for the delivery of the business-as-usual for the Applications function at Thurrock Council, a Local Authority driving an ambitious digital agenda, and will be a key in ensuring that our digital framework is appropriate and efficient.

About the Role:
Thurrock Council is developing, redefining, and transforming its digital services in line with technological advances. We are delivering a diverse and complex toolkit of technologies to deliver automation and efficiencies to end users. We are on a journey of delivering Microsoft 365, Power Platform and RPA alongside the usual mix Local Authority line of Service Applications and we have an energetic team who are embarking on a journey to deliver IT excellence to the council.

You will be technically proficient and proven in an array of technologies, software, platforms, languages, and utilities, highly motivated and continually strive to develop and improve both yourself and the service you provide. In addition, you will:
- Work collaboratively across the different services
- Have a good attention to detail be able to define and improve standards and processes.
- Have a strong working knowledge of service support, working to SLA's and experience of working in an ITIL environment would be an advantage.
