Role Overview:
As a Customs Brokerage Program Manager at AWS, you will lead strategic initiatives to optimize our global customs operations and enhance our cross-border logistics capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of technology and international trade, requiring you to drive innovation in customs brokerage processes, data integration, and compliance management across multiple regions.
You will spearhead the development and implementation of advanced information systems, focusing on seamless integration with customs brokers worldwide. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the rollout of various data transmission solutions, from immediate fixes to long-term, scalable platforms. As the central point of contact for global brokerage teams, you will ensure consistency in operations, maintain compliance standards, and drive continuous improvement in our customs clearance processes.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and global implementation of advanced customs brokerage information systems, focusing on data integration, solutions, and compliance management across all regions.
- Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles for customs technology initiatives, from conception to post-launch support, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement of implemented solutions.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, technology providers, and logistics partners, to drive program success and align with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive performance metrics for global brokerage operations, while spearheading the integration of innovative technologies to enhance cross-border logistics capabilities and streamline customs processes.

Basic qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in import/export compliance and handling imports/exports per foreign government regulations.
• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
• Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Preferred qualifications
• Global logistics or supply chain experience is preferred.
• Experience utilizing data-driven process improvement tools and metrics.
• Experience engaging with customs/regulators and representing complex import/export requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Economics, Science, or equivalent relevant experience.
