Booker Group the UK\\'s leading wholesaler is recruiting for a Technical Assistant, to support the work of the Technical department in ensuring that our business only sources and sells good quality, safe and legal own-brand products.
Supporting a small team of Technical Managers, your primary role will be to oversee a category of own-brand products, ensuring all of our due diligence systems and controls are maintained and appropriately recorded on our internal databases. The role is also heavily involved in our own-brand artwork process and you will be responsible for checking and approving own-brand artwork.
The nature of work is detailed and your work will be integral to ensuring the maintenance of established standards, supplier credentials, product specifications, pack copy for labelling, artwork review and approval, information for customers and ongoing product reviews. You will have daily interactions with the Category, Brand and Technical Managers as well as dealing with external suppliers.
Your key responsibilities will include:-
• Ensuring that relevant product and supplier documentation is maintained on the due diligence portal in a timely manner.
• Checking and approving own label artwork against agreed specifications.
• Attending product development meetings to ensure activities are captured and recorded.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate past evidence of working without close supervision, have the ability to prioritise their own workload, be a confident communicator at all levels and be tenacious with strong attention to detail.
Previous experience of SAP and Business Objects would be adventageous, as would general knowledge of using Excel. Full training on Booker due diligence systems and Food Labelling will be provided. This vacancy would suit an existing administrator looking to develop their role.
