Technical Product Manager, Lead
Key Role:
Develop next-gen capabilities for the DoD. Leverage expertise in broad areas of technical executions, including AI, software development, and infrastructure management and deployment and the mission landscape to create technical products that advance the DoD's critical missions. Guide end-to-end product development efforts across the Digital Battlespace portfolio, defining products and their features, establishing delivery strategies and roadmaps, and partnering with engineering stakeholders to deliver high-impact pilots and maturing them into extensive products. Work with warfighters across command and control (C2), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and Special Missions to define technical products that support DoD mission goals. Understand client goals and identify critical pain points and gaps by engaging with our defense clients and forming a deep understanding of their mission. Lay out a vision and define and communicate the strategic vision for generative AI solutions within the DoD, aligning with warfighter needs, priorities, and goals. Define a path and develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, outlining key milestones, features, and timelines for the development and deployment of products. Engage stakeholders and SMEs and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the DoD, including military leaders, policymakers, researchers, technologists, and engineers to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with mission goals. Manage requirements and elicit, prioritize, and manage requirements for generative AI capabilities balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and security considerations. Lead products and guide cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts to design, develop, and deploy generative AI solutions to transform DoD operations. Develop technical expertise and maintain a broad understanding of various technologies and solutions being deployed into the federal space, ranging from Generative AI to embedded computing and machine learning at the tactical edge. Proactively manage, identify, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects, including data privacy concerns and potential security vulnerabilities. Evaluate performance and establish metrics, KPIs, and OKRs to evaluate the performance, effectiveness, and impact of solutions on warfighter goals, iterating and optimizing based on feedback and results.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with developing product requirements documents and product roadmaps
Experience performing research, including developing a deep understanding of the customer, working with and eliciting information from diverse groups of stakeholders, and developing clear technical, actionable requirements
Experience developing strategic visions for products
Knowledge of the DoD mission space and the concerns and issues facing warfighters
Ability to effectively articulate a product vision and strategy
Ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams to translate product vision into actionable requirements
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field, including Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with developing products for the DoD, specifically in the domains of ISR and electronic warfare, Special Operations and Missions, and Command and Control
Experience bringing products into the federal market, specifically bringing products to the DoD or the IC
Possession of excellent problem solving and analytic skills
Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
TS/SCI clearance
Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field, including Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science
Solutions Architecture certification, such as AWS CSA or Azure Solutions Architect certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
