We’re currently recruiting for a Site Technical Manager at our Bridgwater Dairy, your purpose will be to lead the Quality Agenda across the site, ensuring adherence to customer requirements, improve product quality, drive out waste and inefficiency all whilst ensuring there is no impact on product quality, legality or safety.

Technical Manager Responsibilities
- Overall governance and assurance of site quality
- Create and promote a culture where our people are enabled and empowered every day
- Creating and delivering development plan for self and team
- Enable succession pathways both up through and across organisation
- Enabling team to create and deliver Technical Strategy in line with group strategic direction
- Develop high level problem solving capability and facilitation skills throughout the function (to include crisis management)
- Responsible for creating Continuous Improvement culture and improvement opportunities for self and team
- Creates high performance by role modelling commitment to Operational Performance Management Systems principles
- Accountable for implementation and overall governance of end to end Quality Management System
- Looks and encourages others to find and reduce waste, in all its forms, in everything that we do
- Encourages others to seek out improvements within the workplace and convert to own CI projects
- Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things
- Collaboratively works with other teams to improve our business
- Supports team to demonstrate CI contribution through PDP process
What are we looking for in a Technical Manager?
- Relevant knowledge and experience in a similar FMCG role is desirable
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- A good technical knowledge of supermarkets food safety requirements plus a working knowledge of their systems
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- Good knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven skills in managing and developing a team.
- Team building skills and strong ability to work cross functionally
- HACCP Level 4, Food Safety Level 4
