The Opportunity
This role represents an exciting opportunity to lead the development & delivery of technical services supporting the provision of high-quality learning & teaching for a variety of stakeholders in Harper & Keele Veterinary School. The School’s Mission is “To educate and inspire students from all backgrounds, equipping them to thrive as professionals and contribute to animal, human and planetary health.” Drawing on the combined expertise and resources of two leading universities together with a vibrant multi-disciplinary network the school seeks to drive positive change in the Veterinary industry and realise impact in areas of unmet need.
The post holder will work closely with the Vet School academic team, resource managers across both Harper Adams and Keele universities and external suppliers leading on the sourcing, creation, scheduling, management & delivery of practical teaching resources. Utilising their strong leadership and management skills they will lead and develop a team in order to deliver a professional technical support service for all stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience of working as a senior technician, preferably within a Higher Education setting, experience of managing a team and ideally an understanding of veterinary or animal science related subject areas.
