(Focus on Pension Wise service)

This role offers 100% remote working so you can be based anywhere in the UK.

Both part time and full-time available (a minimum of 3 days a week)

As a Quality Assurance & Technical Specialist, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all pension guidance delivered meets established quality standards and is technically accurate. You’ll work closely with the Pensions Operations team, focusing on calls, webchat, and written enquiries to maintain high-quality service delivery. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with the Pensions Quality Assurance & Technical Manager and the Quality Assurance & Technical team.

As a Quality Assurance & Technical Specialist, you will be responsible:

Ensuring that all pension guidance delivered is technically accurate and that the customer experience standards are met.

The following are the main duties of the Quality Assurance & Technical Specialist role:

• Ensuring that services are technically accurate and meet an agreed set of customer service standards.
• Answer technical queries from our Pensions Guidance specialists about all and any aspects of pensions.
• Anticipating upcoming topics by picking up on new developments across the pensions industry.
• Update the technical accuracy of pensions guidance content and information products.
• Attend meetings and workshops etc., within the scope of the role.
• Contribute to the technical learning and development strategy and help to deliver the quality assurance plan, both of which deliver continuous improvement to the organisation.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

• A deep and wide knowledge of pensions’ law and practice across a broad range of pension arrangements, occupational, personal, and state pension
• An understanding and appreciation of wider retirement issues and non-pension assets, including state benefits.
• Must be good at dealing with members of the public, translating complex ideas and topics clearly.
• A commitment to on-going personal and professional development; we may require you to undertake training within the scope of the role.
• A successful track record of producing clear, technical communications.
• FPMI, APMI or CII qualifications or equivalent in related areas (Desirable).

The Health System Specialist serves as the VA Bedford Healthcare System Space Planner for all projects within the operating plan, working directly as an advisor to the responsible team, and providing consultative services. Assists in the planning, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of milestones for each plan. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining the OCAMES and VISN corporate commitment to the management plan. Manages and coordinates the development and execution of capital project space and phasing constraints while working with the Project Managers and Engineering staff to finalize scope, budget and schedule and maintaining the Capital Asset Inventory (CAI) and SCIP for designated programs/projects. Participates in station programming decisions through committee participation and direct discussions with the Strategic Planner affecting long and short-range courses of action for assigned projects.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Serves as space planner for all projects within the operating plan, working directly as an advisor to the responsible team, and providing consultative services.
• Assists in the planning, development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of milestones for each plan.
• Coordinates the development and execution of capital project space and phasing constraints while working with the Project Managers and Engineering staff.
• Participates in station programming decisions affecting long and short-range courses of action for assigned projects.
• Develops and maintains a set of master site phasing diagrams of all capital portfolio projects for each site.
• Provides detailed analysis of project phasing and move schedules from project inception through the design phases to construction groundbreaking through completion and activation.
• Performs risk assessment, plan sequencing, timeline duration and resource requirements needed to successfully track through construction to activation and transition planning.
• Provides data and analysis of space needs as they relate to gaps in clinical, operational and facility programs.
• Performs or directs surveys and investigations to establish baseline data necessary to initiate design.
• Develops executive level reports and presentations.
• Reports project efficiencies, lags, and areas of improvement.
• Provides guidance, development and coordination for the planning, design, and oversight of assigned projects/programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This position is in the Competitive Service.
