Required for January 2025, an enthusiastic, well-qualified TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE to join a strong department in a vibrant and supportive school. Computer Science is taught by an enthusiastic and specialist team who embrace new challenges to build upon the department’s popularity with pupils. Requirements:

• City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical or electrical field
• 18th Edition (desirable, not essential)
• F-Gas qualification (desirable, not essential)

Duties:

• Splits/multi-splits - filter changes, condenser changes, re-gasing
• VRV/VAV/VRF - filter changes, condenser changes, re-gasing
• Reciprocating, scroll and centrifugal compressors changes
• Chillers - condenser changes, re-gasing
• Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
• AHUs/FCUs - filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
• Pumps - PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls
• Ensuring all works carried out are logged
• Raising quotes for clients
• Signing off jobs once complete
• Liaising with subcontractors and Facility Managers on a regular basis

Mechanical Hardware Design Engineer

Working with a global manufacturing company within their technical operations based in Gillingham, as Mechanical Hardware Design Engineer, you will be based within the electronics engineering team to develop mechanical designs which fulfil customer and legislative requirements in a high-quality, high-volume manufacturing environment.

The role

• Develop new mechanical designs and evaluate customer and internal requirements and identify gaps to current products
• Prepare product designs to meet internal and customer requirements
• Create and maintain Mechanical DFMEA
• Apply BOD, BOP and defined engineering standards procedures and methodologies to execute project activities
• Release design documentation
• Support Validation teams during design validation and process validation phases

About you

You will ideally possess experience of automotive electronics hardware development, be Masters educated in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent and possess a keen eye for detail and analytical skills. Knowledge of MS Office, CAD programs (NX, SolidWorks) simulation tools (ANSYS Stress and Thermal analysis) is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a National Facilities Management company at their prestigious clients' sites in the Gillingham/Ilford area.

This role would be perfect for an experienced Mobile Multiskilled Engineer within the Building Services Industry.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide general mechanical/ HVCA/Building services maintenance support on all buildings and plant.
• Implement all mechanical maintenance and corrective works on the site.
• Perform testing and inspecting of mechanical systems.
• Ensure that all plant and systems are maintained and operated in order to provide maximum efficiency, availability and reliability.
• Carry out remedial and refurbishment works arising from breakdown or maintenance inspections.
• Respond to reactive maintenance/breakdown calls for the helpdesk and carrying out remedial work as necessary.
• Assume the role of Competent Person (mechanical) as authorised by the Authorised Person Controller.
• Carry out condition-based monitoring surveys, defect surveys on electrical plant and systems.
• Carry out minor new works installations and testing.

The successful candidate:

• Hold C&G, BTEC level 3, ONC/OND or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical discipline.
• You will be qualified and/or trained in other building service disciplines including HVCA and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a building service environment.
• The candidate will be articulate, numerate and IT literate.
• Understanding of legislative compliance and contract law preferred.
• Good all-round knowledge of Facility Management and Building Services Engineering.
• The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety, and operational performance.
• Have good decision-making and communications skills.
• Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers, and customers at all levels.
