SPS Technology are currently recruiting a passionate laptop/pc technician to join the team in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. Due to business growth, we are looking to expand our teams to meet the demand.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Repair and refurbish laptops including change of parts such as screens, batteries, keyboards etc
• Test the functionality of repaired laptops to ensure they meet quality standards
• Update BIOS and software as and when required
• Set up new devices for employees

You will work closely with various members of the office team supporting them in their admin tasks. This could be diary management, taking incoming calls and redirecting them appropriately, supporting with office tasks such as photocopying , filing etc.

The role is varied so would require an organised individual who can manage multiple tasks that change daily. You could be doing data entry, helping with recruitment, pulling and creating reports.

Job Title: IT Technician

Purpose of the job:

Responsible for the testing, diagnosis and repair of IT equipment and providing 1st line support to the rest of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Repairs to include the replacement of mechanical components and minor soldering work to replace electronic / electrical components.

Must be able to hit strict KPI’s and TAT’s while maintaining a high-quality standard.

Accurately record all work completed within our internal stock system.

Be responsible and take ownership for all devices allocated to you.

Contribute to a safe working environment and raise health and safety concerns in a timely manner.

Consistently demonstrate that you are living the company values.

Feedback to you Team Leader / Manager any issues or delays with repairs that have been allocated to you in order for the business to be able to resolve these issues and set customer expectations.

Manual handling of stock, following best practices at all times and maintaining stock integrity.
General housekeeping in Workshop to ensure high standards are consistently maintained.
Must be flexible with overtime when required.

Work in other departments in line with Customer and Business needs.
