You will need to register if you do not already have an account To assist in the provision of a high quality confidential and efficient administrative service to the 0-19 Public Health nursing teams to ensure an effective service is given to all relevant service users. To assist with the maintenance and control of child health records (manual and electronic) to ensure they provide up to date, accurate and relevant information in line with recognised guidelines. To assist with transferring records in/out of area adhering to strict protocol guidelines. To deal with telephone enquiries from parents and health professionals, taking appropriate messages for health professionals to ensure queries are dealt with in a timely manner, in order to maintain an effective service. To assist with the collation of statistical information as requested to enable production of relevant reports to provide accurate information for the continuous improvement of the service. Opening, sorting and distribution of incoming mail. Scanning of appropriate documents onto the Electronic Patient Record Any other admin duties as directed by the Admin Lead to enable smooth running of the service. Management responsibility for this post will be with the Administration Lead

Please note that the National policy position is to delegate Vaccination Services to ICBs from April 2025. As such this post will be (subject to the appropriate engagement) be re-structured to provide 4 distinct teams an East and West Midlands Vaccination Team and an East & West Midlands Screening Team. This post will become part of the East Midlands Vaccination Team, and a new job description will be agreed. It is likely that this post (subject to TUPE consultation) will be transferred to an East Midlands Host ICB, which at present is likely to be Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB

The Public Health Department in Derbyshire County Council is looking for a permanent Public Health Lead for Healthy Weight and Physical Activity and be part of the Extended Leadership Team of Public Health. The role involves working with specific target groups in a range of settings in partnership with local communities and partner organisations. This will include maintaining effective partnerships and networks with statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations at a local and regional level. The post-holder will provide specialist advice and support on the development of public health/health promotion programmes and support community health development approaches and initiatives to address health inequalities with a particular emphasis on healthy weight and physical activity. The post-holder will have a lead role in developing and commissioning projects and programmes within the public health directorate's strategy focusing on driving forward the delivery of the whole systems approach to healthy weight and increasing physical activity. In addition, the post-holder will play a key role in supporting and facilitating referrals into the Councils Live Life Better Derbyshire Service that supports local residents to improve their health and wellbeing. Candidates should demonstrate experience at a senior level within the field of Public Health (or relevant profession), a commitment to partnership working, be passionate about reducing health inequalities and be able to demonstrate experience in improving the health and wellbeing of the local population. The main duties of the job will include: Collaborative working for health. Leadership and collaborative working with a range of strategic partners in the statutory and voluntary sector. Developing health programmes and services to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. Promoting and protecting the population's health and wellbeing. Working with and for communities. Policy and strategy development and implementation. Surveillance and assessment of the population's health and wellbeing. Contributing to the delivery of the public health team's annual work plan.
