As a Public Affairs Specialist, Pathways Recent Graduate, GS-1035-07, you will be responsible for:
• Assist in review of pertinent agency policies, regulations, and procedures. Assist in the creation of specialized and proactive public outreach and information programs of high visibility.
• Use technology to track and maintain communications data and information. Apply basic program regulations and guides to work assignments.
• Assist higher-level specialists with planning, preparing materials, promoting and organizing collaborative partners and stakeholders as needed for meetings, programs and special events.
As a Public Affairs Specialist, Pathways Recent Graduate, GS-1035-09, you will be responsible for:
• Assist in the monitoring and sharing of national and regional issues to inform communication and outreach planning. Assist with the development of plans for informing and involving the public on issues of national significance.
• Use communications technology to prepare, track, and report communications activities. Identify areas to be addressed in campaigns, characteristics and needs of the target audience, and communication techniques most appropriate.
• Research trends in both communication strategy and education to maintain agency currency and relevance with communications efforts and strategies.
