Downstream, Chemicals & Midstream (DCM) Law is looking for a Legal Analyst to provide administrative and analytical support to the Vice President & General Counsel (VP&GC), DCM Law, who will manage this position.
The position requires a high-energy individual who is self-motivated, works independently as well as with teams and has demonstrated the ability to multi-task and use independent judgment within the scope of their responsibilities.
The individual should be able to handle confidential information and establish a positive and professional working relationship with team members, senior Law Function and business leaders and staff members discreetly and routinely. This position requires a high level of initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail. This position also requires a positive, can-do attitude, strong interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask and manage a high volume of work.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute all logistics (including meeting facilitation) for DCM Law Leadership Team (LT), Extended Leadership Team (XLT), and Personnel Development Committee (PDC) meetings, including preparing agendas, publishing pre-read materials, coordinating with speakers, and ensuring the meetings are executed smoothly.
Gather and analyze data to prepare a variety of reports, including metrics reports, weekly reports and external spend reports for the VP&GC.
Support Manager, Legal Services, DCM, in developing, implementing, and tracking the VP&GC’s engagement plan, including assisting with drafting messages to the employees, arranging engagements, and other logistics.
Coordinate and support a variety of legal programs, such as the attorney-led competition law training in Downstream & Chemicals.
Coordinate updates to the DCM Law Intranet Site and organizational charts.
Provide business analytical support to the VP&GC.
Draft, format and revise spreadsheets, documents and presentations under strict deadlines.
Coordinate logistics, agendas and presentation materials for meetings, conferences and special functions.
Coordinate and track international and domestic travel logistics, including details needed for visas, immunizations, photos, passport renewals, detailed itineraries, etc.
Track and gather related expenses and compile complicated expense reports in expense reporting system.
Work in iManage to upload, review and research documents.
Follow through to ensure deadlines are met and proactively follow up with individuals as needed.
Work closely and collaboratively with legal assistants and executive assistants.
Act as an information resource around computer systems, support software and hardware technical support.
Analyze and summarize documents for review by business partners and attorneys.
Recommend, develop and implement process improvements and simplification of tasks.
Maintain database of legal documents and assist with knowledge management and retention practices and processes.
Work closely and collaboratively with business partners, attorneys and analysts to resolve a variety of day-to-day issues and support a broad range of substantiation work and other process improvement projects for the Honest Conversations Project Team.
Provide analytical support (intake, tracking, analysis and reporting) to the Investigations Management Process Team that supports investigations management across Downstream & Chemicals and Midstream businesses globally.
Perform legal due diligence and legal research.
Assist with other duties and special projects, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of administrative or paralegal experience.
Ability to effectively analyze and communicate legal issues and collaborate across broad functional and organizational lines (e.g., business partners, subject matter experts, attorneys and law professionals).
Strong organizational, analytical, proofreading, editing and research skills.
Ability to maintain the upmost confidentiality, adapt to changing needs and deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and think independently on how to solve problems and offer solutions.
Demonstrated high level of initiative, independence and the ability to anticipate needs and requirements.
Self-starter who is adept at working in a team environment and partnering with managers, business partners, in-house counsel, outside counsel and staff.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, Outlook, Forms, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
Advanced skillset in iManage and Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Forms, OneNote, Sway and Visio).
Relocation Options:
