This Training Specialist position is located at Memphis International Airport (MEM), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected for this position, you will serve as a liaison concerning training matters between the Federal Security Director and the TSA Headquarters, including the Office of Workforce Performance and Training and the Aviation Programs Office. As a resource to the Federal Security Director's staff, you will assist in planning, directing, scheduling, evaluation and integration of training and professional services to the workforce. This includes coordinating plans, programs, standards, and procedures governing airport-wide training and professional development products and services. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in scheduling, evaluating and facilitating training, screener recertification, and screener performance improvement activities within the airport.
• Assisting in providing advice and guidance to the Federal Security Director's staff pertinent to the training and career development needs and programs.
• Maintaining training database and files; document training activities/accomplishments in web-based learning management system.
• Assisting with keeping current on employees training status, and distributing information about upcoming training opportunities as necessary.
• Assisting in managing instructors; this could include working with TSA Approved Instructors (TAI), supporting the identification of individuals appropriate to provide screener on-the-job training, and coordinating with contractors who conduct training.
• Acting as TAI or Test Administrator.
• Scheduling new hire training.

• Developing staffing models based upon metrics and data such as future throughput projections, authorized full-time equivalent (FTE), current staff composition, and onboard strength and training requirements.

• Conducting in-depth analyses regarding potential conflicts of airport administrative procedures with overall TSA administrative policies.
• Providing airport management with status reports and planned activities in assigned program areas.
• Providing management advisory services to the Federal Security Director (FSD) staff as appropriate and providing the first line response to inquiries from airport employees.
• Conducting financial reconciliation and record auditing.
• Tracking and maintaining various financial reports to keep local management fully aware of expenditure types by airport (e.g., baggage screening costs, passenger screening costs, and overall administrative costs) and by month.
• Working closely with the FSD to coordinate, implement, and maintain an effective program to communicate TSA policies, programs, and directives.
• Overseeing and addressing customer service inquiries.
• Generating work rosters that combine full and part-time employees.
• Tracking daily staffing levels and TSO attendance.

As a Mission and Operations Support Specialist, your typical work assignments may include:

Performing a wide range of administrative support functions to the Outlying Office (OO) and Division, related to General Services Unit (GSU) and Finance and Procurement Unit (FPU) level Business Operations Section (BOS) activities involving administrative, human resource liaison, fleet management, personal property (accountable and non-accountable) management, security (personnel, physical, and information/communication), inspections/internal control, logistics, TFO management, Imprest, and records management.

• Administering a variety of disparate tasks/programs in direct support of the law enforcement mission of the OO.
• Providing administrative and operational functions in support of an office related to activities involving administrative, human resource liaison, personal property management, and personnel or physical security.
• Conducting complex and unique law enforcement searches and queries.
• Gathering and analyzing data to identify inaccuracies.
• Preparing various administrative documents such as reports, briefings, and correspondence.
• Providing authoritative guidance to an organization on administrative matters.

• At the full performance level, you will
• Provide technical direction, guidance and assistance to other employees assigned to assist in project or assignment completion.
• Study design data and establish basic design criteria.
• Coordinate with other organizational elements for additional or updated data and criteria needed for design purposes.
• Develop structural engineering plans and sketches using CAD and BIM software.
• Make field investigations at sites of proposed projects to observe actual conditions and obtain additional data for planning and design purposes.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Plans, assigns and explains work requirements to subordinate supervisors for new or changed programs and the functions, goals, processes, skills, and needs
• Hears and resolves grievances and employee complaints, reviews serious disciplinary cases
• Ensures police staff are properly trained to operate a variety of equipment and/or security systems
• Interprets security policies and procedures and provides guidance to senior facility leadership, other service chiefs, program managers, and others within the medical center's catchment area
• Keeps senior facility leadership informed regarding program successes and vulnerabilities
• Collaborates with leaders to address concerns, resolve program issues and resource needs
• Serves as designated liaison, subject matter expert and consultant with federal law enforcement agencies such as the Office of the Inspector General-Criminal Investigation Division (OIG-CID), FBI, DEA, ATF, Secret Service, state and local law enforcement agencies, etc.
• Assists in the development and modification of new Veteran-specific policies and procedures with focus on improving relationships between Veterans and Police
• Maintains full responsibility for the protection of the civil rights of all individuals while on VA controlled property
• Develops and implements procedures for the detention or arrest of individuals suspected of violations committed against criminal laws
• Plans, directs, and updates the crime prevention program and exercises direction and control of investigations into criminal activities
• Manages the procurement and accountability of equipment and firearms used
• Performs other related duties as required

What you will do

As Fire Sales Manager within Johnson Controls you will be responsible for bookings growth, expanding relationships and wallet share with our existing customers, growing new business and growing and maintaining recurring service bookings and revenues to achieve organizational objectives. This position will take the lead in growing new customers and accounts by leading the installation and service sales and delivery capabilities in partnership with the sales and delivery teams within the assigned district or branch territory.

The Security Officer is responsible to perform protective, preventative, safety and security related informant functions to ensure the safety and well-being of customers, visitors, and staff. They will implement and monitor all security operations in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies in a courteous and restrained manner in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats.

• Responsible for observing and reporting all activity occurring in their assigned area

• Available to provide guests with directions and assistance

• Provides escorts to venue entertainment/officials transporting

• React promptly to all disturbances throughout the venue

• Ensure guest and employee safety while on Brooklyn Bowl

• Check guest identification upon entry to the venue

• Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest.
