As a INVESTIGATIVE ASSISTANT you will be responsible for the following duties:
-Assist with conducting Federal Personnel Background Investigations, many of which are sensitive or controversial, where allegations, hearsay information, or other vague or intangible information of an adverse nature exist.
-Obtain records used to evaluate individual's trustworthiness for access to classified information, placement in a sensitive position, retention in the military services, or placement in Federal employment.
-Assist with collecting and developing information from a variety of records.
-Prepare reports of investigation in accordance with DOD guidelines and instructions.
-Assist in the Field Office, on an as needed basis, to ensure coverage is maintained with the administrative tasks

• You will develop educational materials, teach, facilitate, and mentor security practitioners from different disciplines and countries using adult-learning methods.
• You will develop and maintain expertise to engage in courses, workshops, policy dialogues, academic partnerships, high-level visits, and public outreach.

HR ASSISTANT, NF-01:
Provides general information regarding position vacancies, application procedures, status on vacancies and requests, etc. Receives requests for personnel actions. Checks request for completion and accuracy. Routes/prints requests for personnel action. Creates recruitment file/folders. Initiates and tracks local/installation records checks. Schedules and prepares in-processing and out-processing of employees. Reviews and verifies completion of personnel documents. Obtains missing information for personnel documents/records. Enters data into automated personnel systems. Assists in providing recruitment and placement service to Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) activities. Assist applicants in applying for vacancies. Coordinates onboarding tasks for new hires. Refers inquiries about specific issues or actions to the appropriate assistant/specialist.

Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, sorting and distributing the mail, and providing routine support tasks within the HR office. Performs records management tasks/responsibilities. Creates and maintains Official Personnel Folders (OPFs). Drafts outgoing correspondence. Operates a personal computer and office software programs to enter data, complete forms, and correct errors and omissions in documents, files, and records, as needed. Utilizes automated office equipment (i.e., copier, fax machine, or equivalent) in accomplishment of tasks. Makes copies, scans documents, uploads and files documents for casefile or recordkeeping purposes. Distributes copies of personnel actions. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position will be a noncompetitive promotion to Human Resources Assistant, NF-0203-02, PG # 70201 in six (6) months' time no later than one (1) year.

HR ASSISTANT, NF-02:
R&P: Utilizes automated recruitment tool. Builds and edits user accounts. Generates vacancies for job announcements. Enters applicable position and organizational data for vacancy. Creates job opportunity announcements. Verifies applicant eligibilities in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Produces applicant lists for selecting official. Performs onboarding tasks. Initiates and monitors local installation records checks. Monitors status of background investigations. Conducts in-processing briefing. Assists in the completion of employment documents.

Classification: Enters classified position descriptions into automated library. Verifies signatures on position descriptions. Uploads supporting documents (i.e., evaluation statement; org chart; position designation tool (PDT) result, etc.) into the position description casefile/record. Locates position descriptions in the library. Routes non-routine classification requests to appropriate point of contact.

DCPDS: Enters personnel data into an automated personnel data system. Completes applicant and position builds using data provided. Verifies documentation for personnel action. Codes personnel actions in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Processes a variety of personnel requests and actions. Generates personnel reports. Identifies and corrects discrepancies in personnel data.

Plans, directs and manages the assigned Bellows beach operations. Assigns, directs, reviews work of Recreation Assistant and Recreation Aids (Lifeguards) to include water and adventure programs. Coordinates and documents all necessary training pertaining to the job ensuring certifications are current. Plan, schedule, coordinate, approve and disapprove work schedules for subordinates. Prepares documents such as funding request, payroll administration, evaluation, feedback/counseling, beach logs, daily activities, maintenance, cleaning and inventory reports. Warns patrons of dangerous or unsafe condition (i.e., high surf, strong currents, bad weather, shark sightings, etc.). Evacuates the beach if conditions warrant. Observes the behavior of swimmers to ascertain any potential problems. Fosters good relationship with patrons. Resolves complaints with minimal impact to the activity and refers more complex unique situations to the supervisor. Ensures lifeguard equipment is accounted for, in proper working condition, and readily available. Lead, assist, and/or participate in daily activities, programs and training such as snorkeling, kayak and boogie board addressing the differing needs of military, dependents and civilian personnel. Implements and participates in water safety instructions. Responds to and takes immediate/appropriate action during emergencies in the event of injury, accident, or near drowning, determining required assistance and use of techniques such as artificial respiration, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid. Notifies emergency medical services (EMS) as appropriate. Performs general administrative duties and housekeeping for beachfront swimming facilities and equipment. Ensures rescue craft is in proper working condition and in service during normal duty hours. Responsible for daily pre/post rescue operations, which may include maintenance, cleaning, logging and proper handling of the rescue craft/ATV.
