This Executive Assistant position is located Security Operations, Surface, Region 5, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Knowledge of a variety of conventional administrative concepts, principles, policies, precedents, and procedures as well as routine management processes, systems, and requirements to plan and carry out administrative and program activities on behalf of the Assistant Administrator (AA) and Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA).

Press Content Development

• Writes, publishes, reviews, and measures the success of press releases on AmeriCorps.gov (Drupal), advisories, social media, and other relevant materials, aligning plans with agency goals and objectives as directed by the Press Secretary.
• Writes briefing memos for senior leaders for upcoming interviews. Contributes to the strategic development and production of media materials.
• Provides CEO and senior leadership with regular updates on press activity, press production, crisis response, and CEO social media.
• Organizes the press editorial calendar.
• Consults with managers and specialists in the Office of Communications and Marketing to provide media expertise, strategic direction and approaches, and assistance with other mission-related tasks.
• Stays abreast of the latest trends for effective media relations and communication to targeted audiences, focusing on strategies to increase visibility for the work supported by AmeriCorps.

• Manages day-to-day press and media outreach to cultivate and sustain partnerships, including managing the press inbox, responding to inquiries, and scheduling and staffing leaders for interviews.

What You’ll Get to Do

• Work with client attorneys and team members to support the DOJ Environment and Natural Resources Division, primarily on Fifth Amendment takings cases, especially Rails to Trails cases.

More About the Role

• Client facing position supporting the DOJ Environment and Natural Resources division, primarily focused on the Rails to Trails takings liability and valuation trials. You’ll Bring These Qualifications

• Must have a paralegal certificate. An equivalent level of legal training may be substituted with the approval of the COR.
• Hands on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.
• At least two years of litigation paralegal experience required, including cite checking.
• At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
• Experience in Excel.
• Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research, and a thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum.

Key Role:

Work alongside supervisors and managers as well as alongside technical personnel such as Network Engineers and System Administrators. Participate in the development or modification of computer environment security program plans and requirements. Supervise or manage protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered. Ensure that cybersecurity requirements are integrated into the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for that system or DoD Component. Ensure that cybersecurity requirements are appropriately identified in computer environment operation procedures. Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network systems operations. Paralegal Responsibilities for the Special Litigation Section:

In general, the Special Litigation paralegal duties focus upon litigation support as we prepare for large police-misconduct investigations and trials in the coming months.  The assignments evolve and we would like to be able to add complex responsibilities for a capable candidate. Familiarity and experience with Relativity, Excel, JEFS, Word, Zoom, Teams, Power Point, Westlaw for research, and social media are highly prized.  J.D. is not required.  Paralegal certificate required.  We need someone who can work in Washington, DC for 1-2 days per week, but we are responsive to the impact of COVID and will be flexible and consistent with DOJ policy. What You’ll Get to Do:

As the Senior Information Security Engineer, you’ll support software and systems engineering and interoperability engineering technical services to support the Government customer in their PDSS and PPSS mission for worldwide customers, including Program Executive Officers (PEOs) and their Project Managers (PMs) and Project Directors (PDs), Headquarters Department of the Anny (HQDA) and its components, and other Department of Defense (DoD) elements. This position will support the DISA GSM-O II Task Number 07 (TN07) Joint Force Headquarters DODIN.  GSM-O II provides network operations and cyber defense support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in support of the DoD and COCOMs.  The selected candidate shall support the detection, monitoring, correlation, remediation, and prevention of cyber threat activity targeting the DODIN. Understand the details of advanced persistent threats that impact the DODIN with an in-depth knowledge and ability to analyze, track, correlate, trend, and report on the TTPs utilized and countermeasures to secure, operate and defend.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise the analyzing of identified malicious network activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, effects on system and information.
• Assess network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations.
• Review, correlate, and report on high priority endpoint threats and vulnerabilities to identify similar incidents/events, malicious tradecraft, TTPs of malicious activity, and indicators utilized to impact or target specific networks. 
• Supervise the creation of situational awareness products to provide DoD components with detailed information related to vulnerabilities and appropriate mitigation strategies.
