We are looking for an Interim Legal Project Manager to support with the management of large teams of paralegals. The role will require some office attendance will be required so easily commutable distance to Bristol is essential. Experience in Legal Services would be beneficial.

This will be working on a day rate basis via Umbrella company although there are opportunities for this role to lead more permanent opportunities.

Your Role
As a Contract Legal Project Manager you will:

• Work directly with lawyers and clients on the development of matter plans, pricing, budgets, timelines and documentation of clearly-defined scopes and assumptions on client matters, transactions, cases, outsourcing and projects.
• Manage matters, projects and portfolios to help deliver work on time, on budget and within scope, managing scope and cost creep and engaging with key stakeholders (to include clients, partners and other colleagues) to deliver each project as required.
• Assist partners and other colleagues in proposals and bids for where legal project management core to successful legal service delivery.
• Apply a consistent LPM approach on all matters.
• Work with the Head of LPM and the Senior LPMs team to help upskill people throughout the firm.
• Be an advocate for TLT’s LPM capability inside and outside the firm.
• This is a hybrid working role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office and occasional travel to other TLT or client offices.

Your Skills and Experience

• Law degree or equivalent qualification
• Project Management qualification (our preference is APM)
• Min 3 years working in a project manager role
• Knowledge of and experience using leading project management tools including MS Project
• Experience in managing legal projects using established project management methodologies.
• An understanding of legal matter reporting
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• A creative approach to problem solving with an ability to manage critical issues quickly and effectively.
• Strong analytical and project management skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret the client's business needs and translate them into business/operational requirements.
• A proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage with stakeholders throughout the business at all levels and across legal teams and business services.
• End to end experience of a variety of different legal projects including litigation, corporate transactions, real estate transactions, contract management and remediation as well as involvement in software and service procurement and implementation, software development, business process review and reorganisation and transformation projects.
• The ability to deliver and embed Legal and other Tech into a firm with particularly focus on change management.
• Experience of working in the legal sector, or professional services environment within a project management team.

1. Manage all legal advice enquiries from with the Trust on a wide range of work-related issues as the first point of contact for staff to obtain such legal advice. Providing or arranging timely legal advice, determining those cases where additional legal advice is required and then instructing and liaising with external solicitors in those cases.

2. Manage all clinical negligence, personal injury and property claims against the Trust. Managing all potential and actual clinical negligence, personal injury and property litigation claims against the Trust in a timely manner and within National Health Service Litigation Authority (NHSLA) guidelines. Liaising with the NHSLA their panel solicitors to provide information and documents to assist in determining liability and reducing costs where possible.

3. Manage ex-gratia payments for losses and damages claims by patients, staff and the public an proactively find ways to reduce costs and incidences of these claims. Investigate and mitigate costs for losses and damages by patients, staff and the public and as arising under the NHS complaints Procedure. Proactively find ways to reduce the costs and incidences of these claims. Collate and prepare the Trust Losses register for its DoH returns.

4. Manage all inquests involving the Trust patients.Ensure the timely provision of all information required by Coroner for inquests involving Trust patients and to provide support to staff involved in this process. Liaising with the Coroners courts, families, and solicitors in respect of the provision of reports, documents and witnesses for inquests. Identifying cases where representation at the inquest is required and either undertaking such representation or instructing external solicitors to represent the Trust where this is deemed advisable. Minimise legal costs for inquests. Reviewing all Serious incident reports, Clinician Reports and witness statements for inquest, preparing staff for attendance and supporting them throughout the whole process, including attending then inquest with them.



5. Provide the oversight and co-ordination of all Preventing Future Death reports, Court orders (S49 and others), Judicial Reviews etc received by the Trust to ensure effective and timely allocation, actioning and response.



6. Contribute information and reports to the risk management systems for learning lessons to support staff to deliver the Trusts Risk and Governance Strategy and Objectives, Provide information to the Quarterly Lessons to be learned reports and by annual claim inquest reports.



7. Ensure that the Trust is adequately insured against relevant risks. Arranging and maintaining in date suitable and cost-effective insurance cover for defined risks.



8. Bring to the attention of Senior Management issues relating to reputational risk. Liaising with Senior Management in respect of any legal issues and the management of inquest or claims with the potential for significant litigation or reputational damage.



9. Review policies for legal compliance and give input on difficult complaint cases. To review all policies for legal compliance with the Human Rights Act. Assist staff and review letters on difficult complaints as requested and where compensation is indicated.



10. Line manage staff in the Legal Service team,providing direction, co-ordination, and visible team leadership to ensure the effective work load management and service delivery.Manage the allocated budget.

The Security Shift Manager will provide exceptional leadership and direction in the management of the Security Team which is responsible for supporting and managing all centre operations during retailer trading hours. To provide clear and timely communication to all within the centre and management on key issues that affect the business operation and customer service delivery. As the Security Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the ‘live' operation of the Mitie Security Team that manages the essential functions of;

-All common and public areas of the shopping centre

-Emergency and evacuation procedures

-Health safety & welfare of security personnel

-Leadership and direction to security personnel on duty to ensure all issues are dealt with correctly and within a timely manner

-Ensure that complete and updated Assignment Instructions and SOP's are being followed. Where this is not the case ensure that corrective actions are raised accordingly

-Ensure standards of dress, safety and presentation are maintained within the centre Mitie team at all times

-Provide continued training and coaching to all staff members to enhance performance and provide job enrichment

-Ensure that all staff are site trained and have signed the Assignment Instructions

-To assist in the recruitment process of new staff for the centre security team

-Handle all day to day enquiries which arise from whatever source in respect of the daily operation of the security of the centre.
