What You’ll Get to Do:

• Work with both corporate and customer leadership to research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide network security solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.

• Assists with designs, analyses, tests, and implementation of state-of-the-art secure network architectures.

• Conducts risk assessment and provides design recommendations.

• Manage WAN, LAN, CAN, and remote network security as well as support Tier 3 incident and problem management. 

• Oversee security infrastructure sustainment, maintenance, and advanced configuration. (firewalls, F5 load balancers, web gateways, mail gateways, IDS, and management tools).

• Oversee the reporting, documentation, and investigation of all security-related incidents; lead the development and implementation of corrective measures.

• Responsible for the development and execution of standard operating procedures for security tools.

• Evaluate and report on new network Security technologies to enhance the capabilities of the network.

• Act as liaison to the contract and customer management and government Designated Approving Authority (DAA) about all network security status, policies, and procedures.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Related work experience considered instead of degree)

• 6+ years related technical experience in Network Security and experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a highly diverse environment

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI

• Ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph

• Required Certifications:
  -    DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification. (Security + minimum to start)
  -    Must obtain a CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of the date of hire.

Key Role:

Function as a System Certification Specialist and Security Control Assessor as part of a team in the performance of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities ensuring National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) management, operation, technical, and privacy security control implementation compliance for large, complex DoD information systems. • Experience with planning and executing comprehensive Cybersecurity test events, including identifying applicable security controls, analyzing assessment procedures, and identification and using required tools, including Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) or Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

• Experience with providing configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware and coordinating changes and modifications as an ISSO, ISSM, or Security Control Assessor (SCA)

You’ll coordinate with investment teams, executives, clients, and industry-leading vendors to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective cloud-hosted solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to design, including providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating cloud-native network security, next-generation firewalls (NGFW), Transport Layer Security (TLS), intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), packet capture (PCAP), web application firewalls (WAF), and network monitoring and analytics capabilities. You’ll be able to broaden your skillset into advanced and emerging areas of cybersecurity like zero trust networks, software-defined networking, and container security to support dynamic and immutable cloud infrastructure. You Have:  

• 5+ years of experience with the government, public, or private industry
• Experience with firewall, network security, or network monitoring solutions, including leading firewall vendors, such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, or ASA
• Knowledge of network security concepts, including packet capture, intrusion detection, encryption in transit, break-and-inspect, and OWASP
• Knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, TLS, FISMA, FedRAMP, PCI, RMF, DoD cybersecurity policies and control frameworks, modern encryption algorithms, IPSec, and TLS
• Knowledge of cloud-native and 3rd party network solutions to protect information hosted in Cloud providers, including AWS and Microsoft Azure, web application firewalls, and application delivery solutions, such as F5-BIG IP, Citrix ADC, and NGINX
• Ability to analyze requirements, design, implement, and operate highly available and scalable firewall and network security solutions in cloud environments
• Ability to educate and inform clients on network security concepts and how they can be applied to protect information, communicate and convey complex network solutions and concepts to a wide range of stakeholder audiences, and create technical artifacts, including logical and physical network diagrams, technical specifications, system installation procedures, and bills of materials
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:  

• Experience with AWS cloud-native network and solutions, including Security Groups and ACLs, VPC, Transit Gateway, VPC FlowLogs, PrivateLink, and Direct Connect
• Experience with software-defined network and WAN solutions
• Experience with network monitoring and security solutions for containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• Experience with writing proposals, whitepapers, and other technical marketing materials to compete for and win new business
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and Ansible for implementing CI/CD pipeline solutions, infrastructure as code, and automation solutions
• Ability to develop code or scripts using Python, JavaScript, or programming languages
• Ability to lead a team of engineers in the development of complex integrated solutions

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering
• Security+, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, Palo Alto PCNSA, CISSP, AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure Certification

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, IA, and JWICS accreditation support, DoD IA RMF, DCID 6/3, or ICD 503
• 3+ years of experience developing and presenting technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences and clients
• Experience with DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs), checklists, and DoD testing tools, including Gold Disk, Security Readiness Review Scripts (SRRs), SCAP, and the Retina Nessus ACAS scanning tool
• Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community IA and security laws, regulations, and policies, including mandates
• Knowledge of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
