• Serves as Administrative Offiicer, Executive Advisor, and Program Evaluator within the Group. Uses knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods and techniques and skill in integrating management services with the general management of a DoD organization.
• Performs Program Management. Applies knowledge of management principles and processes of the analytical and evaluate methods needed for execution in improving organization effectiveness and efficiency. Oversees 673 CEG Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) and Inspector General Evaluation Management System (IGEMS) to ensure compliance of program objectives.
• Guides development of briefs and reports and provides oversight of task management. Guides development of various briefs (Mission Brief, Weekly Staff Meeting, etc.) tailoring content for target audience and objective and working independently to meet established deadlines.
• Serves as the focal point for all requirements coming into and out of the Civil Engineer Group advises the Civil Engineer Group Commander, Deputies and Squadron Leadership. Manages operation of suspense systems by screening, reviewing, analyzing and identifying CEG tasks daily, assigning suspense dates and delegating to the appropriate functional experts in the CEG or its subordinate squadrons.
• Represents (the organization) with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with 673 MSG, 673 ABW, 3 WG, 176 AW, 4/25 IBCT,(ABN), US Army Alaska (USARAK), and 11 AF executive officers/administrative staff.

• Subject matter expert on Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act and Civil Liberties. Provides legal advice to senior Air Staff, Secretariat, Major Command, and base level personnel on all issues pertaining to administrative law, focusing on information law (Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), Records Management) civil liberties, privacy issues, information technology access and related areas.
• Serves as the principal advisor to and provides legal opinions, consultation, and advice to TJAG, Air Staff, the Secretariat, Major Commands, and base personnel on information, civil liberty, information technology access, publications, Freedom of Information Act, records management, and privacy law and other civil law and policy practice areas.
• Represents The Judge Advocate General's office at meetings on issues related to the functional assigned areas. As a Security Specialist, GS-0080-09, you will:

Plan, organize, and direct security police activities. Plan, organize and direct activities and programs to support base activities such as; security, resource protection, law enforcement, and information security programs. Coordinate and develop contingency plans for confrontation management, base defense, information and personnel security and resource protection plans. Coordinate the deployment of personnel and individual and unit equipment. Develop and implement policies to ensure program effectiveness and efficient use of personnel and equipment. Coordinate detailed procedures and instructions for such functions as prevention of unauthorized entry of restricted areas and mission essential resources, use of personnel and equipment. Administer security police training programs. Plan for the employment of electronic physical security equipment to ensure the most efficient and economical devices are implemented to achieve required levels of security consistent with existing threat levels.

Initiate programming and budgeting actions for initial acquisition, modification, and replacement of security police facilities, vehicles, equipment, and other resources.

Direct security police activities. Assign and direct security police personnel in emergency operations, including security, law enforcement, and air base defense; crash and disaster control activities; and civil or internal disorders. Analyze security police facilities, sensor and alarm systems, vehicles, weapons, and other equipment to ensure operational effectiveness. Direct the conduct of training programs to meet local and mobility mission requirements. Ensure professional standards of performance within security police activities through management, supervisory, and inspection programs.

Coordinate security police activities. Advise and coordinate with Active Duty, AFRES, DOD counterparts and ANG unit commanders on security, air base defense, law enforcement, and information security matters. Coordinate the activities of other units which have responsibilities during emergency security or local ground defense operations. Coordinate with other military services and civil agencies on security, air base defense, and law enforcement; mutual support agreements; and host-tenant agreements.

Perform technical security police functions. Analyze security and law enforcement reports and statistics. Evaluate the employment of security police weapons to ensure maximum effectiveness. Evaluate the employment and employment of electronic sensor systems to ensure maximum effectiveness in their installation and use. Conduct staff meetings.

Monitor and direct security police programs. Monitor Air Force and ANG training standards. Analyze newly developed equipment and weaponry. Initiate programming and budgeting actions for acquisition, modification, and replacement of security police facilities, vehicles, and equipment. Monitor security police programs through inspections, reporting systems, and observation. Evaluate programs by recording, charting, and analyzing the status of discipline, reports of crimes, security violations, and traffic incidents involving ANG members.

Determine adequacy of facilities, equipment, and procedures used to account for, store, transmit, and destroy classified material. Monitor and evaluate reporting dealing with compromise of classified information and personnel security program documents which includes the special security files.

• Serves as the senior security organizational functional and technical expert for all security and information protection matters of the organization responsible for direct coordination with multiple test organizations, combined and integrated test forces, System Program Offices (SPO), defense contractors, MAJCOM and higher headquarters, foreign national partners and international test customers, and other DoD and Federal Agency security, intelligence and program management.

Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Branch Chief and Security Cooperation Program Manager within the Security Cooperation Division, providing expert advice in the analysis, planning, development, implementation and review of U.S. Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources in support of HQ USCENTCOM operations and DoD Policies. Serve as the Command's subject matter expert and lead directorate advisor for SA/SC programs and efforts within the Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate, USCENTCOM J5. Individual will collect, coordinate, evaluate, analyze and interpret SA/SC program information for countries within the USCENTCOM Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and Interest (AOI).

Duties:

• Manages the integration of Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources for the USCENTCOM AOR.
• Leads or participates in conferences or in task groups to development or refine concepts, plans or activities for matters related to Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources.

As a POLICE OFFICER, GS-0083-08, you will perform combat Arms Training. Present repetitive courses or designated blocks of longer courses and presents training material and instruction covering proper use of handguns, rifles, machine guns and other base defense/ground combat skills equipment, in accordance with approved lesson plans and course control documents. Instruction may take place in outdoor or indoor training facilities and will require multiple police/combat agility skill demonstrations. Instructor makes adjustments in presentation or other instructional methods to resolve common classroom problems, to include those of student motivation and communication, as well as, last minute agenda schedule or student
changes, student problems, equipment malfunctions, or lack of supplies. Use training aids and devices in addition to those listed in the POI in a manner that enhances training outcome. You will manage and oversee the installation ground weapons training and maintenance program; serve as an instructor and inspects ground weapons. Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the installation's ground weapons training and maintenance program, incorporating safety requirements, and maintains adherence to safety regulations. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

Physical Demands:
Works on different terrain surfaces, in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries tools, parts, materials, weapons, and equipment that may weigh up to 50 pounds. May occasionally handle items that weigh up to 75 pounds. Specialized material handling equipment is available for heavier items.

Work Environment:
Work will require standing on feet for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds and low/high crawling up to 25 meters. Work may take place in a variety of weather conditions Work efforts include running short distances and move over, around, and through obstacles to heights of 10 feet. Walking is required (i.e., 1000 meters) and may occur in extreme temperatures over rough terrain. The work is sometimes dirty, dusty, and greasy. Incumbent is frequently exposed to the possibility of noisy conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment (e.g. ear plugs, eye protection, and gloves).

Identifies dangerous areas and takes corrective action on ski slopes and areas around Hillberg Lodge.

Skis all slopes and reports on snow conditions. Instructs developing volunteer ski patrol or others in objectives and techniques used for ski patrol operations. Recommends action according to condition of slopes. Responds to accidents or other traumatic incidents, attends the injured, ascertains nature of injuries and extends appropriate first aid procedures, or assists with procedures already in progress. Escorts, evacuates, or assists with evacuation of patients to ambulance, field station, or hospital by most expeditious mode of transportation.Continues first aid procedures in transit, as necessary, until relieved by other competent personnel. Extends first aid training to other personnel and/or instruct in the techniques for managing injuries. Will document all injuries and accidents on proper accident report forms. Observe the lift stations to make sure that they are operating under ski area policies regarding safety. Operates chair lift, t-bar, and rope tows as needed. Observes weather to determine current and short range wind chill factors, ascertain if within range to permit safe skiing. Keeps manager informed of marginal or dangerous conditions on a continuing basis. Enforces customer violator penalties under current procedures and protocols.
